[DING]This question will determine control of the cards. Sam says 65 and Bill says it's lower... The actual number of marriage counselors say they are more likely to divorce after the couple signs a prenuptial agreement is-- [DING-DING-DING, APPLAUSE]29. Bill is right... it is lower. Bill, you have a 3. You can play this card if you want. But if you pass it to Sam, he must play on his 9 and call both cards right. If he makes a mistake, you win the first round of the match. What's your decision... play or pass?

I'll play this myself, and keep the 3, and predict higher on the next card.

[AUDIENCE OOHS...]Bill is taking a risk on that 3. If you make one mistake, Sam wins the first game of the match by default. Higher than a 3...? [BUZZER]It's another 3. So that means Sam wins the game! [WINNING BELL SOUNDS, WIN CUE, CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]
Sam wins round 1 and $500. When we come back after this brief message, we'll play our second round. Will Bill have a chance to tie up the match or Sam goes all the way and become our new champion? We'll be back with more of Card Sharks. Stay with us. Announcer: This Closed Captioned sponsorship is brought to you in part by --=================================================================================== *back to studio* [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Welcome back to Card Sharks, everybody. At the end of the first round, our challenger Sam have won the first game including a $500 payoff. Bill will try his luck again and see if he could even up the score. And during the break, The Bella Twins have dealt a new set of cards for our contestants. Now that everything is set, we'll start round 2 with our first question. *grabs card* Bill... we've asked 100 women who are professional truck drivers-- When you drive by a good looking man, do you whistle at him?How many of them say they whistle at a good looking man?

Post by billmcdee on Aug 31, 2016 3:26:30 GMT -5
In this day and age I don't know that whistling is too common anymore, and I would think it would be even more uncommon from women, but perhaps a bit more common from truck driving women. Then again, being they drive a truck, and I assume this means the big rigs, they give off a certain air of independence.
Maybe 20 out of 100 have done this.

[DING]20 out of 100 say they whistle at a good looking man. What do you think of that answer, Sam... higher or lower? Remember... be specific on your thoughts of that answer.

Higher, because in my opinion: I think less men nowadays, don't whistle, I think that's just the 1990's...

[DING]I don't think I've seen any female truck drivers whistling at a hot guy so I think it's a tad lower. But, let's find out right now. Bill says 20 and Sam says it's higher... And the actual number of female professional truck drivers say they whistle at a good looking man is-- [DING-DING-DING, APPLAUSE]26. Sam is right... it's a little bit lower. And you'll start round 2 with your base card-- --a 5. Do you want to play this card or change it, Sam?

Lower than a 7... [DING-DING-DING, APPLAUSE]It's a $5,000 cash card! If you win this round (or a one-question Sudden Death match), you'll win an additional five grand. Brie will now place the five grand in your prize column while Nikki hands me a replacement card. Care to try it again, Sam?

Lower than a 7... [BUZZER, AUDIENCE GROANS]No... it's a Jack. And Bill gets a free chance and must call on his base card... --a 6. You cannot change your 6 since you didn't win the question.

Once again, Bill is taking a huge gamble. Higher than a 6... [DING-DING-DING, APPLAUSE]It's a piano! If you win this round for a tie game, you'll win this piano. Nikki will place it in your prize column while Brie hands me a replacement card. Dare to try it again, Bill?

Actually this time I will freeze.

Post by tmann3x on Sept 5, 2016 11:33:27 GMT -5
And this time, we'll move the freeze bar for Bill. Just two cards away from winning the piano and a tie game. *grabs card* Sam... the next question is for you and it involves 10 feminists in NOW... National Organization for Women. Ladies... please come on over to the Contestants' Row area. [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE] *all ladies walk to the area* Before the start of the show, we've asked the 10 NOW feminists to this question-- Did you ever burn your bra?How many of them say they did burn their bra?

Well, I think these ladies are nice but I don't think any of them would burn their bra so, I'll say only 4 out of 10 ladies.

[DING]4 out of 10 say they did burn their bra. What do you think of the answer, Bill... higher or lower?

Bill...?

I think bra burning went out with the 20th century, so I'm reasoning the answer is lower.

[DING]I'm curious to find out what is that answer. Sam says 4 and Bill says it's higher... The actual number of feminists of NOW say say they did burn their bra is-- [DING-DING-DING, APPLAUSE]One. Bill is correct... it is lower. Before we get to the cards, I have a question. Which one of you ladies is a bra burner. *one lady shows hand* Susan...? Susan: Guilty as charged. In fact, my grandparents were part of Woodstock back in the late 60's... and my grandmother was one of many who have burned her own bra to the crowd. Tony: I see. Thank you, ladies for being a part of that audience poll. Please return to your seats. Give it up for the ladies, everyone... [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Now let's return to the game... You're now looking at a 6 as your new base card. Do you want to play on this middle card or change it?
