The episode will start with Matt Ringgenberg playing for a $5,000 bonus in the game "Beat the Dealer". This is the first, and only time it will be featured.
I am hoping to begin this episode sometime today. I just got home about 90 minutes ago from vacation, had a couple of stressful things to deal with, then checked my personal and work e-mails, sorted laundry, etc. Having had a lack of quality sleep since last Wednesday, and having to be back at the office tomorrow at 6am, and now today getting ready to head out for a very late lunch/very early dinner, I don't know how much of this episode will take place today.
All this being said, I would like to have Matt Ringgenberg check in and also John Bergman since he expressed interest in participating in this next episode.
Since these episodes are no longer necessarily self-contained, if anybody else wants to play, let me know here and be on stand-by after Matt & John's match concludes, or if for some reason I do not hear from John by the time it comes time to begin a new match.
Best,
Bill

Frank Caliendo (As Kenny Williams): All the rest is in the cards on... Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): GAMBIT... Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): PM... Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): A game of skill, fate and fortune. Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): And now, from the Bob Barker Studio at CBS Television City in Hollywood, here is your Master of Ceremonies for this evening... Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): Bill McDee!!! Hey that's me! The M.C. whose name begins with Mc, yours truly, Bill McDee, wishing you all a very pleasant good evening. On our last program we left off at an unusual place which I will explain in a moment, but first, here is the lovely dealer of our cards while we play Gambit under the stars, you can also see her on "The Price is Right" daytime right here on CBS, the lovely Manuela Arbeláez! (cheers & applause) Manuela, good evening! Manuela: And a very pleasant good evening to you Bill, and to all of you here at the studio and watching us at the present moment. On our last show, we crowned a new Gambit PM champion. He went on and played at the Gambit Board and he's won himself quite a bit of money already, but he also earned the right to play a special mini-game, Beat the Dealer. Time expired before we could play this, and do not blink folks, because this is the last time this mini-game will ever be featured here on Gambit PM. Manuela, please reacquaint us with our newly crowned champion. picosong.com/q789/Manuela: Glad to Bill. Our current champion is a supermarket clerk from Iowa... Manuela: ... whose cash and prize total thus far is $19,500... Manuela: Welcome back to Gambit PM, Matt Ringgenberg. (applause) Matt Ringgenberg, back with us after defeating our prior champion. He left with just over $30,000 and so far Matt, you already have won $19,500 and that's all in cash. Remind our friends in the viewing audience again all about yourself please.

Indeed I too am a fan of Peanuts, both the kind you find in jars and the animated version of course. I have always been partial to Schroeder since I used to play piano in my younger days. And speaking of playing, Matt, right now you have a chance to add another $5,000 in cash to your total by playing Beat the Dealer. Manuela, please break the seal on this deck of 52 cards. Matt, please select a number higher than 0 but lower than 52. This is how deep into the deck you will be cutting the cards. You will be playing one regulation Blackjack hand against Manuela. She will deal you one card up, then herself one card face down, then another card to you face up and finally an up card for her hand. Manuela must stop once she gets a total of 17 or more. Matt, you can freeze once you reach 12 or higher. If you go over 21 or if Manuela's hand is higher than your hand, you win nothing, but if you beat Manuela's hand, or tie her, or if Manuela goes over 21, you will win another $5,000 in cash! (applause)

A most interesting cut indeed. Now if you end up getting 21 exactly, you will automatically win the $5,000, regardless of what Manuela has in her hand. Let's see Matt's first card please, Manuela... An 8 of Diamonds, not a bad start... Now Manuela will deal for herself a hole card. Now, another up card for Matt please... (applause) Yeah that's a mighty nice card, a big old Ace for you Matt! Gives you a 9 or a 19. Before you decide whether you wish to freeze or continue, let's have a look at Manuela's up card first. It's a 7. Now Matt, do you wish to call your hand 19 and freeze right there, or continue playing, seeing that Manuela has a 7?

(applause) Let us hope Manuela does not have a 3 or a 4, let's hope for a 10, Jack, Queen, King, or even an Ace. This is for an instant $5,000.... (Manuela reveals) (she hesitates) Yes, it's safe to reveal it now, Manuela (chuckles in the audience) A Jack! Matt just won $5,000!!!! picosong.com/3zeF/And that gives you an all cash total now of $24,500! (applause) We'll take a time out here, recoup some of that $5,000 and meet Matt's next challenger, right after these words of interest. Won't you please watch? Thank you.

Fantastic. Thank you for joining us here tonight, and best wishes as you embark on 11th grade. I remember 11th grade all too well, it was the longest THREE years of my life. (some chuckling and laughter in the audience) And those out there laughing are my former teachers! Manuela has broken the seal on a brand new freshly shuffled deck of 54 cards, 52 regular cards plus a pair of jokers. Whenever a joker turns up, the player in control of that card wins a $500 bonus instantly, plus we will add $500 to the Any 21 Jackpot which current stands at... (CLANG) $5,500. The winner of each game will also win $1,000 in cash, then, whoever wins 2 games out of 3 goes on to the Gambit Board to win even more cash and some really nice prizes, including the possibility of a new automobile! Lenny, please select a number higher than 0 but lower than 54. This will be how deep into the deck you cut the cards.

True is exactly right! (applause) And much to nobody's surprise, Lenny has elected to keep the King. Next toss-up question coming. Please submit your buzz code, along with your answer and also if you wish to keep or pass the next card. Question coming... Singer, songwriter and actress Olivia Newton John. Is she over 65 years old or under 65 years old?
