For episode 2, I will replace one of the categories with a jumbled word style puzzle and call it "SPELLBOUND".
I will try to make the CLUE WORDS category a bit more challenging.
The money board will just be marked numbers 1 - 16 rather than WORD PLAY up top and down the bottom.
On the 21 box question board, one of the 16 good boxes will also have an insurance marker attached to it. If a player hits that box AND gets the answer correct, they will earn that marker which can be used to stave off a block if hit, including if it is hit during the final wager round.
I call upon my fellow hosts and game players for a suggestion.
With the current episode, we came very close to having one player having more than double the other player, which would have rendered the wagering round moot.
If ever that should occur during an episode, how would you suggest I handle that?
A. Still play the wager round anyway since both players get to keep what they win
B. End the game right there, and replace the wager round (a.k.a. the Final Jeopardy round of WordPlay) with an audience game
C. Another idea?
Thanks, Bill

Three other changes.
1. The "Initial Thoughts" category is being replaced with "Spellbinder". A spellbinder is simply a jumbled up word with a cryptic clue. Think Scrabble except all the letters are exposed, just out of order.
2. The end game for episode 2 will still have the 21 numbered board with cash awards hidden behind many, but now one will say "JACKPOT". If that is found on the very first pick from the board, it will be an instant win of $50,000. If it is not selected first, it will become a "DOUBLE" card instead.
3. Replacing the "SEEK & FIND" Now You See It style board will be a series of seven Double Definition questions. This ties in with the original WordPlay end game from 1987. How it will work is for the first four puzzles, 1 pick from the board will be earned, for the last three puzzles, 2 picks from the board will be earned, for a maximum possible ten picks from the bonus game board.

One more thing too. If either player is able to hang onto the insurance marker into the bonus round, and they hit the BUST card, the insurance marker will protect them from it, however, another BUST will go up on the board, replacing the lowest remaining money amount still hidden on the 21 numbered bonus game board.
