(Kiersey touches screen) And you get another L from that middle row. You may guess the middle row's clue or roll the dice.

All right. Jeannette's handed you the dice. Your first roll this round is... (Matt rolls)...a big one. A 6 and a 5... ...or an 11. Fives are still history. But you may take any 6 or the 11.

No guess from Matt. Very well. You're still on a roll, Matt. (Matt rolls)(audience groans)(buzz)Oh -- then that happened. Sorry, Matt, but you don't get anything for a pair. Audience: Not in this game. Bryan, this means you're back in charge. Last roll of the round is yours. But first... ...please take one free letter.

(Kiersey touches screen) The 2 from the bottom row gives us an A. Bryan, would you like to guess the bottom clue or take the last roll for this round.

Let's do the last roll and hope it's not a double this time.

All right, last roll of the round's yours. (Bryan rolls)And it's a good one -- a 4 and a 3... ...or a 7.

(TPiR Pathfinder wrong move sfx)The unfriendly buzzer says that's not it -- although that's a great guess considering what you had to work with. Okay, players, head back to your buzzers. Get ready to signal and recognize in our next name game. (FF reveal sfx)Nine letters in the famous last name. Here's your clue. He was on a roll -- for more than three decades in late night television. (ding)
(Bryan and Matt, please PM me a buzz code and your answer.)

63 bryan 81 mringgenberg 97 random.org (Matt buzzes in)Matt? Matt: Letterman (dings; audience applause)That's it. David Letterman. Please step in the box. Thanks, Jeannette, for your help on the dice as always. I should point out every roll outside of double *can* be made. When that statement's not true, we'll offer a play-or-pass option. We're not there yet. So, Matt, you -- are on a roll. (Matt rolls)(audience groans)(buzz)Ouch! The ugly look from the snake eyes. Sorry, Matt, but you don't get anything for a pair. Audience: Not in this game. As Matt steps out, Bryan steps in for a free letter.

(Kiersey touches screen) And that's an A. All rolls outside of doubles are still good, Bryan -- so you may guess the bottom row's clue or roll again.

All right -- roll 'em. (Bryan rolls)And it's a 6 and a 4 or a 10. And I'm afraid you don't have much of a choice, Bryan. The fours are gone. You may take the 6 or the 10 in the top row.

(Kiersey touches screen)And you get a U out of that. And -- players I'm getting the signal from the judge we're now in play or pass mode. At least one roll outside of doubles is not makeable. So if you throw numbers *and* a sum that you can't play, it's just as bad as doubles; you'd lose control of the dice to your opponent -- who picks up one free letter in the process. With that disclosed, Bryan, you may guess the top clue, roll again or pass the dice to Matt.

(scattered cheers) All right. For sure, the roll of 11 cannot be made. So, avoid that and the doubles. (Bryan rolls)It's a good one -- albeit barely -- 1 and a 4 or a 5. All the fours and fives are gone and blocked. The only 1 is in the top row -- so let's give him that, Kiersey, please. (Kiersey touches screen) And it's an E. Bryan, your options again -- guess the top clue, roll again or pass the dice. We have one more roll left in the round, by the way.

(dings; audience applause) That's it -- even number. Bryan, you may now take a guess as to the overall puzzle. If you're right, you win the match. If you're wrong or want to bypass a guess, you may still roll or pass the dice.
