Jim Thornton: Today on Gambit... find a dollar sign inside one of the 21 hidden doors and win...And now, from Television City in Hollywood, here is the host of Gambit... Tony Lane![CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Tony: Thank you, Jim Thornton. Good morning, everybody... and I welcome you to Gambit. Television's most exciting game of skill, fate, and fortune. It's the show where a blackjack or 21 could lead to a dazzling array of cash, prizes, and $1 million. In our last episode, we had crowned a new champion... but ended up with nothing in Beat The Dealer and that card could've won the 25 grand. He'll have his revenge at the end of our show... but when? We'll have that answer still to come. But first-- Returning from maternity leave as a proud mother, she is back to deal out some cards. Ladies and gentlemen... please get out of your seats and give it up for America's sweetheart... our card dealer... Ms. Jennifer Love Hewitt. Oh Jenn...? [WILD CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]*standing ovation* Jennifer: Oh... thank you. Thanks for that standing ovation. It's great to be back to see each and everyone of you here... and to the fine viewers all across North America. Now that I'm back to action, let's introduce our two fantastic players. [CONTESTANTS' INTRO]
Our challenger is a student... now residing in our nation's capital, Washington, DC. Please welcome LENNY JACKSON. [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]And playing against Lenny is our returning champion. Making his second appearance, he has an all cash total of $23,400. He's a supermarket clerk from Council Bluffs, Iowa. Please welcome him back to the show... MATT RINGGENBERG. [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Tony: Thanks, Jennifer. We'll see you after the break. First, let's meet our challenger for a moment. Lenny... please tell everyone about yourself.

Good gravy... I like that character as much as I like Snoop dog. Charlie Brown's pet, that is. Anyways, good luck to you. After the break, we'll begin the first round of play and see if either Matt or Lenny reach the lucky number 21. We'll have that answer... when Gambit begins immediately following this commercial time out. Don't go away... *back to studio* [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Welcome back to Gambit. Now that Matt and Lenny are ready to go, I'll explain the brief objection... The object of the game is to get closer to 21 without going over. Each correct multiple choice question is worth $100. And the player who either comes closer to 21 or have your opponent busted, wins an additional $500. And whoever wins the best 2 out of 3 games will be playing against Jennifer in our Beat The Dealer round for $1 million. [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Let's take a look at the payoff board on my podium... [CLANG]The player who has a combination of at least three cards that add up to 21 wins the Any 21 Jackpot of $5,000. [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]But the player who has an Ace and either a 10 or face card wins the Blackjack Bonus of $10,000! [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]And before the start of the show, our guys at Tandem Technologies, a RANDOM.ORG company, have delivered J.Love a set of 54 ultra sized playing cards that were shuffled, cut and sealed. Jennifer will now break the seal. And we begin round 1 with the reveal of the first card up for grabs. Jenn...? Jennifer: Our first card is a 4. Tony: Good luck to both of you. Here comes your first question. Chinatown, The Long Goodbye, or The Two Jakes-- What was the first motion picture in which Jack Nicholson played detective J. J. Gittes?*You have 24 hours to send in your PM buzz-code between 1 and 100.
