Wii(mote) Question

Video game system question: I have a first generation Nintendo Wii.

In recent days, my Wiimote has somehow lost its connection with the Wii. I've literally tried everything to resync and still no connection.

Do I need a new Wiimote – or do I need to upgrade to the Wii-U?

You need a new remote.

There should be a red button on the back of the Wii, and another on the Wiimote next to the battery. Try clicking both in one order, the other, and at the same time.

Well aware of the sync-up buttons.  Will give this a try.
