Before we can roll out this new show, there has to be a test that will serve as the pilot. We need two players for the new game, and in case you missed the premise behind it, you may refer to this preview page. So who's going to try out Punch Card?

And we're all set for this test pilot of Punch Card. Here we go, everybody! (Punch Card Theme)GEORGE GRAY: Today, these two contestants are going after the dough, and a chance to go for even more prizes, such as a trip and even a car! Find out who it is, as we play the all-new Punch Card! And now, here's your host, Erin Harris!ERIN HARRIS: Thank you, George Gray, and welcome to Punch Card! Now before we begin, I have to tell you that this is an all-new game that will hopefully turn into a series, and we based it off the popular punchboard games where you can win a wide assortment of cash and prizes. And here with me are the two contestants who will be vying for a spot in the Bonus Round; please give a warm welcome to bryan and mringgenberg! Hello, guys! Let me explain the rules to this game as quickly as I can: You will each select a set number of holes in each round, and whoever wins more cash after three rounds will then go to the Bonus Round for the chance to win some great prizes! So now that we got this out of the way, are you ready to play our new game? Let's do it!(round intro cue)Now in the first round, we have nine holes to punch out. Each of you will punch out three holes, and we'll see how much cash you get. The amounts range from $10 to $90, and bryan, since you signed up first, you get the honor to start off this round.(Please select three numbers from 1 to 9.)

Let's see what's in there.$40Another $40, so you have a grand total of $190.ding! That's a pretty good start, bryan! Now we go to mringgenberg, and his first choice was Hole 3. We find that he has...$10...only $10, but that's just the first hole.ding! Maybe we can find a lot more in the other two. Your next choice was Hole 8, and you get...$50...another $50, for a total of $60.ding! Finally, let's see what you get from Hole 9. Is it a lot, or is it little?$80It's a lot! In fact, $80 more...ding! ...and you have a grand total of $140. Now let's move on to Round 2, with an even bigger punchboard.(round intro cue) The stakes are now raised, with 16 holes to choose from, plus money ranging from $25 to $400. ERIN: And 10, 5, 1 and 8 are yours. Now let's start with mringgenberg, who has $140. Your first pick was Hole 15, and here we find...
$300
...$300, and you're now up to $440.
ding!
Next up is Hole 14; let's see what's in there.
$350
$350, which makes your new total $790.
ding!
Then you selected Hole 3, and how much do we add from that?
$175
$175 more, which brings you up to $965.
ding!
Your final choice is Hole 11. How much is that worth?
$100
$100, and your total is now $1,065.
ding!
Now we turn to bryan, with $190 to start with. First selection is Hole 10, and there, we get...
$25
...just $25, and that makes it $215.
ding!
Then you selected Hole 5; let's see if you can do better. How much is that worth?
$50
...$50, which brings you up to $265.
ding!
So far, mringgenberg has found the big money; we need you to do the same. Next up is Hole 1, and do we find a good amount there? Let's see!
$150
Well, you get $150, for a total of $415.
ding!
This is your last chance to pick up some big cash before the next round. Hole 8 is your final pick, and is it worth a lot?
$75
No, not even close! But you still have $75, for a total of $490.
ding!
(Punch Card Theme)
So after two rounds of play, mringgenberg leads bryan, $1,065 to $490. But we're going to raise the stakes a bit higher with another round, so don't go anywhere! We're coming right back after this.
