Yes, it's SUPER FAN The only game show that tests your passion!
I watched this in Thailand since I was young, and I loved the show since then. It's the game show where 5 'fans' of a person, thing or category, come to play a series of quiz games to find the only SUPER FAN and win the most unique and priceless prizes.
Actually, for those in the UK would recognize The Fanatics. Yes, it's an adaptation of this show. No, I'm not going to use that format, but THIS format.
Here are the breakdown of the rules.
ROUND 1: SUPER SPEED (5 to 4)
In this game, we test the speed of the contestants (kinda).
The first competition involves memorization and spontaneous response in answering the question pictures/clues within 3 seconds (or in forum, one guess only).
One by one, I'll give one question picture or clue (I'll announce what to answer before each time), after it comes up, the contestant has 3 seconds (one guess) to answer.
If correct, you're safe, but if not, you're in trouble.
After I ask everyone, if everyone got correct or everyone misses, we go back and start over.
But if ONE contestant misses and everyone else gets correct, the missed player is eliminated and everyone else advances to round 2.
If MORE THAN ONE contestant miss, the missed contestants go to the sudden death and everyone else advances.
In sudden death, a toss up is asked, whoever buzzes in first gets to answer. If correct, he/she advances and we go for another toss up until one contestant is left behind and thus eliminated, if not, round ends, he/she gets eliminated and everyone else advances.
ROUND 2: SUPER "CLASSIC" GAMES (4 to 2)
We have 3 games. Rules as below.
1. PASSION QUESTION: This game varies in formats. Maybe matching choices with the clues? Maybe identifying audio clips or pictures? But basically, the game comes with one main question (and usually multiple subquestions) is asked. And whoever buzzes in first will get to answer. In order to advance to the face-off round, the contestant must get the question, and all subquestions (if any), right. Otherwise, the game ends and the contestant gets a strike.
2. JIGSAW: One picture is present, but is covered with 25 squares. I'll randomly reveal one square of the picture. If someone knows what the picture is, they may buzz in. First to buzz in gets to answer, and if correct, the round ends and the contestant advances to the face-off round. If incorrect, the contestant earns a strike (Two strikes and you're out of the game) and anyone (including the previously answered player) may buzz in again. If no one buzz in, we reveal one more square. Do this until we have a winner.
3. 6 CLUES, WHO?: (THIS GAME WILL ONLY BE PLAYED IF AFTER TWO GAMES WE STILL HAVE ONLY ONE QUALIFYING CONTESTANT.) Simple. I reveal one clue at a time and, same as Jigsaw, whoever gets it first advances to face-off round.
NOTE: Round ends immediately after we have 2 qualifying contestants, or after 2 contestants got striked out, in which the remaining 2 advances.
ROUND 3: SUPER Q&A
We'll have 5 sets of 2 Q&As. The contestant who advanced first picks 1 set and takes the first qustion, the other player takes the second. If one gets it right and one misses, the contestant with a correct answer earns the SUPER FAN title.
If both corrects or both misses, we'll start over and let the second player choose first. Until we found a champion or all 5 sets have been played, in which both contestants are winners. The SUPER FAN will then face the final SUPER FAN question.
THE SUPER FAN QUESTION
One question (with subquestions, maybe), super hard. Get it right and you'll win the exclusive prize package that only the SUPER FAN of the topic deserves.
Thoughts? We'll run a poll to see what we should do as our first topic.
