I need two players for this pilot of Catchphrase, brand new, never seen before catchphrases from the UK. (Based on the unsold 2006 U.S pilot)
Rules are Simple:
We show you a normal catchphrase and with a buzz code, buzz in with the correct answer. Get it right and you'll earn money, but get it wrong and the other player has a free guess, correct answers put money into your score, not in the bank (that's the exciting part later).
Bonus Catchphrase (Super Catchphrase)
The screen shows 9 squares with the show's logo on, hiding another catchphrase, you use the Random.org to select a square, we reavel that part that you picked. Get it right and you'll win the bonus bank. Get it wrong, play continues.
Bank Starting Amounts: R1: $100 (-$10 per square)
R2: $250 (-$25 per square)
R3: $1,000 (-$100 per square)
Before each round, we will let you deicde the amount for each correct answer on the normal catchphrases.
Highest Amount: R1: $75
R2: $100
R3: $150
After three rounds, the highest scoring player will play for $25,000 in the Super Catchphrase (Bonus Round/Finale)
Super Catchphrase: On the board are 25 squares, with letters A to Y, as always, each square has a catchphrase, get it right and we give you $25 ($100 in the series)
The middle square is different because you must say "CP" if you want to go to that square (In the series, it's changed to the normal 'M' square) and if you can complete a line of $25 squares, Horizonaly or Vertially, you get $10,000, go though the middle in any diection, you win $25,000 (Later in the series, there's another win condition: If you get 5 anywhere, you get $1,000.) You have a limit of 10 guesses, you can Pass but it won't count as a guess.
Champions retire on the fifth time on the show and very soon, the special Tourament of Champions bringing the 3 highest scoring champions to play the slight altered version of the programme, like the 2013 British version.
So Who's With the Catcher? Who is willing to play?
