Thank you very kindly Doug, and everybody.
(placing my NGA award on top of the envelope)
This thing makes quite a decorative paper weight, don't you think?
When they decided who should present this award, they asked themselves "Who among us is the biggest pain?". Evidently their conclusions led to selecting me to present this award for the most painful moment (chuckling).
As I do not have a list of the other nominees, I will simply announce the winner at this time.
(removing my award and opening the envelope)
Ouch!.....Painful award, this envelope just gave me a paper cut! (kissing my finger)
And the winner of the 2016 NGA Most Painful Moment Award...sponsored by Excedrin, is...
John Lopez missolving on the Express, Mark Liotta's Wheel Of Fortune.

(I walk up to the stage to applause, smiling a bit, as I go to shake Bill's hand, taking the award) Well...I guess everybody on the site's entitled to at least one bad day, guess mine was good enough to net me an NGA! (laughs) Well, firstly I'd like to thank everyone who voted for this rather derailing moment, to coin a phrase. And I guess if there's one good thing that came out of it, it'd be my winning runs on SOTC, Dice Words, and Crag! Thanks for the award, everyone!

Gotta love a nice comeback.
I've often said if you're involved in a game -- be you player, guest or host -- and you're not having fun, there's something wrong.
Thankfully, we have lots of fun in our part of the world. Here to present the award for funniest moment from that funny show, "Remote Control", Jon Darrall!

(Applause)
Thanks, Doug! I wonder...do you get paid every time you say the word "funny" or "fun"? Anyway, when someone executes a boner on TV...the kind we CAN talk about, people! (Intense audience laughter) As I was saying, when someone does something hilarious, it can make the game stand out that much more. Here are the nominees for the 'Net Game Award for Funniest Moment.
(Clips of the moment play as I read them off)
David Letterman hosts "On A Roll."
Brian Williams hosts "Sale Of The Century."
Kourtney using complicated algebra to try and win Squeeze Play on "The Price Is Right."
Greg Palmer's tirade on "Trashed."
(Whoops...can't show that one...too much profanity)
Steven Anderson being offered a trip home on "The Joker's Wild."
Sam Hodkin winning a set of vowels on "Sale Of The Century."
Doug Morris' wild reactions on "Crap Out."
Weird use of pop music as prize cues on the Nighttime "Price is Right."
And the winner is...
Darn. Looks like I owe Kari, Steve, and Colin a 10-spot each...(Audience laughs again)
SAM HODKIN WINNING A SET OF VOWELS!
(Sam and Greg Palmer approach the podium as the "SOTC" theme plays)
Sam, why don't you tell us what you did with those vowels?

Not only has the last year of net games been filled with fun and laughs, it's also been filled with excitement. Here with the nominees for Best Moment is a man who'd like to be considered for Same Letter on WoF, Kevin Kolsen.

*applause as I walk in from stage left and wave to the crowd*
Thank you, all. It's been a tough month and a half but I'm glad to be presiding over the award for 2016 Best Net Game Moment. As you may know, I've been hosting Net Games here for almost two years and I've not only played host to a lot of good moments but I've seen a lot of contestants giving new meaning to expecting the unexpected. That's what this next award is all about. We're here to showcase the best of Net Game Central for the past year so here's the greatest of the great.
Your nominees for 2016 Best Net Game Moment are as follows:
The $100,000 Win (Crap Out-Darion Daniel)
Clement wins $1.8 million (Card Sharks-gameboy2000)
James Greek wins $90K+ grand slam in the bonus round (Top Card)
John Lopez Double Blackjack win (Top Card, Joe Emerson)
marc412 becoming highest winner ever on Crag (Doug Morris)
Mark Liotta one spin solve (Wheel Of Fortune-Greg Palmer)
Kourtney Wilson $100K win (Wheel Of Fortune-Greg Palmer)
James Greek running Money Cards to max (Card Sharks IOB)
Evan dominating 2007 show (Wheel Of Fortune Seasons-Kevin Kolsen)
James racking up three insurance markers on consecutive doubles rolls in Big Numbers round (High Rollers)
Ian Sherman wins the million by solving bonus round puzzle with no letters (Wheel Of Fortune-Mark Liotta)
How about a round of applause for everyone who contributed and made all the winning possible?
*applause*
All great moments, I can tell you but only one of these will win the award for Best Moment. The award goes to...
*WoF drumroll*
*opens envelope*
Remember when I said only one of these can win?
I lied, we have A TIE!
(gasps from audience)
That's right! The co-winners for Best Moment are:
John Lopez Double Blackjack win (Top Card, Joe Emerson) AND Mark Liotta one spin solve (Wheel Of Fortune-Greg Palmer)!
John and Mark! Come on up, if you please!
*cheers and applause as John and Mark walk up on stage*
Congratulations to the both of your for receiving this award and congrats to you two as well for your achievements in your two games. Getting a Double Blackjack and solving a puzzle with one letter aren't easy things to do. You both have to tell me, what went through your minds when all that was going on?

Well for me, my one letter solve was a spur of the moment type thing. Plus, as Caitlyn Burke put it when she did it on the real show, I had a good feeling about it.

Honestly, it was just strategy, and I guess you could say a stroke of luck hit me for that episode. Regardless, I do have to thank Joe Emerson for the opportunity to play on Top Card, and Mark, congratulations! (goes to shake his hand)

(fade in) Greg: Our next group comes from Cincinnati, Ohio. They're known for their "swirly pop beats, infectious guitar riffs, and loud, sing-a-long choruses." This song hit #1 in 8 charts in four countries, and was the #1 song on the 2015 Billboard Adult Top 40 year-end chart. With "Shut Up and Dance", get up on your feet and give it up for WALK THE MOON! (audience screams as we move to their performance)"Oh don't you dare look back. Just keep your eyes on me." I said, "You're holding back, " She said, "Shut up and dance with me!" This woman is my destiny She said, "Ooh-ooh-hoo, Shut up and dance with me."
We were victims of the night, The chemical, physical, kryptonite Helpless to the bass and the fading light Oh, we were bound to get together, Bound to get together.
She took my arm, I don't know how it happened. We took the floor and she said,
"Oh, don't you dare look back. Just keep your eyes on me." I said, "You're holding back, " She said, "Shut up and dance with me!" This woman is my destiny She said, "Ooh-ooh-hoo, Shut up and dance with me."
A backless dress and some beat up sneaks, My discothèque, Juliet teenage dream. I felt it in my chest as she looked at me. I knew we were bound to be together, Bound to be together
Oh, come on girl!
Deep in her eyes, I think I see the future. I realize this is my last chance.
She took my arm, I don't know how it happened. We took the floor and she said,
"Oh, don't you dare look back. Just keep your eyes on me." I said, "You're holding back, " She said, "Shut up and dance with me!" This woman is my destiny She said, "Ooh-ooh-hoo, Shut up and dance!"

Well done, fellas. Great to have you here from the great city of Cincinnati -- on the banks of the Ohio.
Game show hosts have been known to award many prizes to contestants -- but it's not terribly often *they* get to take home some prizes. Rejoining us on stage to present the nominees for Best Host -- here's Jon Darrall.

A great show requires a great host. As you know, on my show, we pay tribute to the great hosts of the past with our Wall of Fame and with game show questions. These men and women, these legends, keep the game moving while making the contestants feel like the stars. Our nominees for Best Host do the same, and here they are...
(Clips of each host are shown, followed by a shot of the host in the audience...)
Greg Palmer
Tony Lane
Doug Morris
Bill McDee
And the winner is...
(I open the envelope and smile)
Looks like Colin owes me a seafood dinner at South Street Seaport...it's BILL MCDEE!

(shaking my head in utter disbelief)...
Wow! Just wow!
It is rare that I am caught totally by surprise, especially pleasantly surprised at that!
Greg Palmer...He deserves a huge round of applause for his very long-running $ale of the Century. He especially stands out on that game, but all games he hosts are indeed awesome.
He launched the "On A Roll" franchise, and made it an incredible successful hit, and he passed the torch to Doug Morris, winner of last year's Best Host award, and deservedly so.
Doug also recently launched "Second Chance", which was the pre-cursor to Press Your Luck, and he's done a magnificent job with that program, and of course Chain Reaction too.
Last, but not least, Tony Lane. I dare say the only reason Tony perhaps did not win this year's Best Host award were due to technical difficulties which were beyond his control. Thankfully he is finally able to be back among us again!
I am indeed deeply touched and greatly honored that all of you, the collective, my peers, deemed my efforts worthy enough to be named Best Net Game Host this year.
(holding up this award and the one I got for best graphics).
Now if you'll kindly excuse me, I need to call Amazon and cancel my order for a new set of bookends.
(taking a bow and exiting stage right)

Congrats, Bill. Of course, you can't have a game without great players. And our shows have booked some great contestants.
But which was the best from the past year? From Nighttime Wheel of Fortune, with the nominees for Best Player, here's Mark Liotta.

(It's actually Greg who's doing daytime Wheel now, Doug. I'm doing the nighttime edition instead) (I come onto the stage to a tremendous applause from the audience) Thank you, folks. And thank you, Doug. Great contestants certainly don't come along very often these days. I mean yes, most of them are good, but it takes a lot of skill and strategy to take that to the next level and become a great player. Of course, knowing the rules of the game certainly helps out as well. With that said, I give you the nominees for this year's Best Player award. Our first nominee hails from Council Bluffs, Iowa and has been a frequent player on my edition of High Rollers. Which, by the way, you can watch every weekday right here on CBS. Nominee number one is Matt Riggenberg. (audience applauds) Our second nominee is from Long Island and currently works in accounting, Kevin Kolsen. (audience applauds) Our third and final nominee is Michael Clifford. (audience applauds lightly; I open up the envelope that says Best Player on it and look at the name on the card carefully) And the Best Player award goes to..................Kevin Kolsen! (audience cheers and applauds loudly as Kevin walks up to the stage to accept the Best Player trophy) Congratulations, Kevin.

Whoa! Oh my! *accepts trophy* I just don't know what to say but there's a lot of people I want to thank for this award. All the hosts who've had me as a contestant, I just want to say I've had a blast playing them as much as I've had hosting then. I've always done my best to set a good example by displaying good sportsmanship. I also want to thank everybody for their patience while I was battered down with work during the tax season. I'm still recuperating but it sure is great to be back in the groove. Again, thank you all!

(Actually, I don't call my daytime version "Daytime Wheel of Fortune". But anyway....) Jennifer Love Hewitt: Well, this next act is one of the longest-running and most successful rock groups, and one of the world's best-selling groups of all time, having sold more than 100 million records. They were just inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this month. Unfortunately, Peter Cetera didn't attend the ceremony. Lucky for us, he's here tonight! Please welcome Chicago featuring Peter Cetera!(audience cheers) (The scene starts with Chicago's keyboardists starting up. Peter Cetera approaches the mic to cheers and applause. Joining in with the other backup vocalists is Greg Palmer.) "Everybody needs a little time away," I heard her say, "from each other." "Even lovers need a holiday, far away from each other." Hold me now. It's hard for me to say I'm sorry. I just want you to stay.
After all that we've been through, I will make it up to you. I promise to. And after all that's been said and done, You're just the part of me I can't let go. (Greg: Hoo hooo)
Couldn't stand to be kept away just for the day from your body. Wouldn't wanna be swept away, far away from the one that I love. Hold me now. It's hard for me to say I'm sorry. I just want you to know. Hold me now. I really want to tell you I'm sorry. I could never let you go.
After all that we've been through, I will make it up to you. I promise to. And after all that's been said and done, You're just the part of me I can't let go.
After all that we've been through, I will make it up to you. I promise to.
You're gonna be the lucky one.
(Suddenly, the music seemingly and seamlessly transitions to the '86 version of "25 or 6 to 4". The audience gets on its feet. [Optional: Peter Cetera, not liking the arrangement one bit, exits, leaving Greg Palmer to run over and take his spot.]) Waiting for the break of day Searching for something to say Flashing lights against the sky Giving up I close my eyes Sitting cross-legged on the floor 25 or 6 to 4
Staring blindly into space Getting up to splash my face Wanting just to stay awake Wondering how much I can take Should I try to do some more 25 or 6 to 4, yeah!
(we get shots of everybody on stage and in the audience dancing)
Yeah!
25 or 6 to 4 25 or 6 to 4

Also nice to hear from the Chicago White Sox and Cubs, both are off to a terrific 2016 season. Baseball often has rookie sensations that shine every now and again. The same can be said for game show hosts. I have been asked to present this year's NGA Award for best new host. One must infer from this that my award earlier was for being the best OLD host! We have two nominees for this award for best new host. First, the current host of Dice Words, a Bill McDee creation, and also host of Crap Out and the New Challengers, Darion Daniel! (applause)... And second, current host of Gold and Million Dollar Secret Vault, Billy Gardell! (applause)... And the winner of the 2016 Net Game Award for best NEW host is... Plus, I do like to give my thanks to The Blackwood Company for placing all these games together especially to my partner Billy Blackwood. And if there is one thing, I did win at Big Jon's for best new host the first time I started and I need to thank the ones here for giving me their support.
I have to go tell Laurie, Lara, and Kida about this so love and heart. (applause)

(audience cheers)Congratulations, Darion. Well, ladies and gentlemen, we've had a lot of fun, heard from a lot of great musical acts -- and have honored the best of the best. But we have one more award to present. The NGA for best Net Game Adaptation on Channel 3. Here with the nominees is -- (laughs) -- the teleprompter says "Doug Morris". Why put that in there, fellas? (audience laughs)Really!??! Ahhh -- in any event -- who's got the list of nominees? Doug Morris, CEO, Sony Music Entertainment: (enters from stage left) I do! (audience cheers)Doug Morris, NGA Host: Ladies and gentleman, Hollywood Walk-of-Famer, Doug Morris! (more cheers; gives the record exec a standing ovation) (the men named Doug Morris shake hands) Doug Morris, NGA Host: See, Desiree and Tony? (audience laughs) Told ya there's a difference. (audience laughs) Mr. Morris, what an honor to finally meet you, sir. Doug Morris, CEO: Well, I had to come tonight. After all, my secretary gets bombarded with calls asking to how to get on Crag, Second Chance, On A Roll -- (audience laughs) -- and we keep telling them you've got the wrong Doug Morris. So, I wanted to get the numbers from *you* on how they can get on your shows. (scattered laughter from the crowd) Doug Morris, NGA Host: I'll give you the numbers after the show. Since you have the nominees, the floor's yours, sir. Doug Morris, CEO: Thank you. The nominees for best show are... Doug Morris, CEO: ... "Gambit", hosted by Tony Lane... (scattered applause) Doug Morris, CEO: ... "$ale Of The Century", hosted by Greg Palmer... (scattered applause) Doug Morris, CEO: ... "High Rollers", hosted by Mark Liotta... (scattered applause) Doug Morris, CEO: ... and "Wheel Of Fortune Seasons", hosted by Kevin Kolsen. (audience applause) Doug Morris, CEO: And the winner is... (opens envelope) Doug Morris, CEO: ...oh we have a tie -- between "Hollywood Squares" starring Leaf Apollo and "Wheel Of Fortune Seasons" starring Kevin Kolsen. (audience cheers) (WoF theme plays; WoF team congratulate Kevin; Kevin runs up to stage) Kevin: To everyone who has played and tuned into the 27 years of my Wheel of Fortune: Seasons, thank you! I couldn't have done it without the loyal support of my fans and contestants. I've had a lot of exciting moments through all the "years" I've been hosting and have been enjoying every single minute of it. Thanks again! (audience cheers)Doug Morris, NGA: Congrats, Kevin. It's a shame he couldn't be part of the festivities but we all have our own things to attend to. Anyway, this award wouldn't be possible without the fine folks who put Hollywood Squares together. Now, after this performance, these two will be recording an official single and releasing it in the next month. Here with "The Next Time I Fall" are Peter Cetera and Adele! (audience cheers as we go to the performance) (yes, I know this is Amy Grant in the audio file, just go along with it) (the two operate the stage perfectly, starting from opposite sides of the stage and coming together) Peter: Love, like a road that never ends How it leads me back again to heartache I'll never understandAdele: Darling, I put my heart up on the shelf 'Til the moment was right And I told myself
