You already know that koopakid17 hosts Wheel of Fortune: Seasons, and I think it's only right that there be a Jeopardy! Seasons as well. As Match Game is unfortunately dead, I've decided that Erin will be the host of the new series instead. Here's the breakdown:
We will start in 1984, the first season of the syndicated Alex Trebek series, and go through the years with each passing episode. Eventually, we might go back to the Art Fleming-hosted series from the 1960s and 70s, but for now, we're concentrating on the Trebek one.
There will be a five-game rule for returning champions on episodes from 1984 to 2003, and starting in 2004, champions can play six or more games until they are defeated.
The clues in the Jeopardy! round will be worth $100-$500 from 1984 to 2000, and $200-$1000 from 2001 onward. Likewise, the Double Jeopardy! clues will be worth $200-$1000 and $400-$2000, respectively.
The music will also be adjusted during the course of the series, with the original theme from 1984 to 1990, the updated bongo theme from 1991 to 1996, the third version from 1997 to 2007, and the current version from 2008 on. The original Final Jeopardy! think cue will be used from 1984 to 1996, the second version from 1997 to 2007, and the current version from 2008 on.
