Okay, Game Shows. (BONG)The contract is worth $1,000 and here comes the first question: This game show, based on the British version of the same name, was considered as CBS's answer to the success of another big-money quiz program. It aired from January 8 to February 18, 2000, and was Dick Clark's final show with the CBS Network. Name the show.

$500 in the pot! (APPLAUSE) (DING)
One question left in the contract, and here it is: This game show held the honor of being the first daytime network game show to have a female emcee. It's creator invented the game in his own living room. The show ran on NBC and in syndication from 1987-90. Name this series.

Win, Losevor Draw, and bte, I don't think Betty White was too happy about that! The first network daytime game show to have a female emcee was Just Men!

(LAUGHTER) Well that's what happens when you serve a bottle of gin to the question writers prior to taping, but you got it right and completed the Contract! (APPLAUSE) (DING)Could we get a shot of our adjudicator? (Camera gets a shot of a red-faced Leonard Koss) That's our question writer, Leonard Koss. Leonard, did you drink too much gin before the show? Leonard: Maybe a bit too much. Well please lay off the gin for a while, okay? (He nods) Good. Leonard Koss, everybody! (APPLAUSE) Now, James, would you like to bank the $1,000 and pass control to Billy, or keep the money in the pot and continue?

OK. Well, we're not gonna let you continue just yet. We have to pay some bills, so we're going to take a break. Join us after the break, won't you? (APPLAUSE) (COMMERCIAL CUE)

Terrific. Now, before we go, I'd like to take this opportunity to dedicate this episode of Bullseye to a legend, the man who hosted this show from 1980 to 1982, Mr. Jim Lange. Not only did he host this show, but he hosted countless others, including Spin-Off, The Dating Game, The New $100,000 Name That Tune and The $1,000,000 Chance of a Lifetime. His personality came out on screen and off. He was a kind, caring person, and always rooted for the contestant to win. His energy was infectious, and his hosting style was truly one-of-a-kind. And so, Jim, this show's for you. Now, I'm going to sign off exactly the same way he did at the end of every episode of this show and say, until next time, this is Hunter Dillon hoping everything you go for hits the Bullseye! Bye! (CHEERS AND APPLAUSE) (CLOSING THEME) JT: Some of our departing contestants will receive--The following have furnished prizes for free or less than retail:
THE J.M. SMUCKER CO.
PROGRESSIVE CASUALTY INS. CO. & AFFILIATES
HASBRO GAMING
All contestants must meet eligibility requirements
Hunter Dillon's Wardrobe furnished by RICK PALLACK
(We get various shots of the set, including me, the players and the audience)
JT: Bullseye is a Jack Barry and Dan Enright Production. Stay tuned for Tic-Tac-Dough, next over most of these CBS stations.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And I'll start Episode 2 once I rid myself of the dreaded Writer's block. In the meantime, what did you guys think of Bullseye?
