Time for me to once again delve into the world of net game hosting, and hey, since we got Tic Tac Dough, hosted by John Lopez, and Joker's Wild, hosted by Tony Lane, on here, why not host the third game in the Barry and Enright Lineup? Rules are EXACTLY the same as the Civilian version (not that ill-fated Celebrity version), but the stakes are upped a bit to keep up with inflation. First to $2,500 wins the game and gets a shot at Bonus Island for cash and fabulous prizes. I need two players for this pilot, with a third on standby after the bonus game.

Alright, everyone, here we go! (OPENING THEME)JIM THORNTON: This is the television game in which daring determines the fate of the player... This is the game of strategy, luck and knowledge... This is...
(THUNDERCLAP)
(APPLAUSE)
And now, here's our host, Hunter Dillon!
(I come out from behind the gameboard and take my place center stage) (CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)
Thank you very much! Thank you, and welcome to Bullseye. Yes, your favorite game of strategy, knowledge and daring is back and better than ever, and rather than keep you in suspense, Jim Thornton, would you please introduce our first two players!
(CONTESTANT INTRO)
JT: Our first contestant enjoys game shows, music and playing Criminal Case, meet James Greek! And his opponent is an aspiring web programmer whose interests include game shows and pinball, here's Greg Palmer!
(APPLAUSE)
Welcome to Bullseye, players. Now James, you enjoy game shows. What are some of your favorites?

Well we thank you for that, and we wish you good luck today on Bullseye. Greg, you are an aspiring web programmer. Care to tell us about that?

Well, I want to build websites using solely HTML5 and CSS3, with very little JavaScript as possible. I'd like to send a shoutout to my teacher, Pepper Oldziey. (I wave) Hi, Pepper!

Alright. Well, I'm sure everyone in North Carolina are watching right now and cheering you on. Good luck to you. Let's play Bullseye! (Contestants shake hands as I walk to my podium) (APPLAUSE)Okay, players, then, as now, the object of Bullseye is to accumulate money, and you do that by answering questions. The first player to accumulate $2,500 or more wins the game and goes on to play the bonus game. The categories in this game are in the top windows on the gameboard, and here they are. In the left hand window, we have: BOOKS & AUTHORS MUSIC COMICS GEOGRAPHY In the right hand window, we have: POLITICS SCIENCE & NATURE MOVIES TELEVISION The number of questions you must answer will be determined by the bottom contract window. If you hit a Bullseye, you can answer as many questions as you'd like. We're going to start with the player who signed up first... (BONG)That's you, James. Let's spin the information and cover it up. (BOARD SFX)OK, now that it's covered up, hit that button in front of you to decide your fate. Good luck. (James, I need two letters from A-D to determine the categories and dollar amounts, and one letter from A-F to determine your contract.)

OK, you have... (REVEAL SFX)
Comics for $500 a question... (REVEAL SFX)Movies for $200 a question. Your contract is... (REVEAL SFX)
BULLSEYE!!! (CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)(cut to a shocked look on James' face, then my face) I don't believe that! First show, first game, first spin, you hit the Bullseye! Well you know what this means. You can answer as many questions as you want. So, which category would you like?

Movies it is. (BONG)Each question is worth $200, and as it's the Bullseye contract, I'll give you the option to stop after a correct answer. Here's your first question: Michael Douglas coproduced and costarred in this 1979 film, a taut thriller set in a nuclear power plant that was ironically and fortuitously released the same week as a real-life nuclear crisis at Three Mile Island. Jane Fonda and Jack Lemmon also starred as a news reporter and the general manager of the plant, respectively. Name the movie.

Okay, here's your next question:
This 1969 film centers around two hippie drug dealers who are ostensibly en route to New Orleans for Mardi Gras, but in reality they are on an odyssey in search of freedom and some meaning in life. Along the way they encounter an eclectic array of individuals, including an establishment lawyer with a penchant for alcohol. Name the film.

Very well. Next question:
In this 1984 film, High school sophomore Samantha Baker struggles to get through the day on her 16th birthday, which her entire family has forgotten about because her older sister, Ginny, is getting married the next day. She is also plagued by infatuation with a popular and attractive senior, Jake Ryan. Name the movie.

Right, then. Here's your next question:
This 1953 drama film was directed by Fred Zinnemann and based on the novel of the same name by James Jones. The picture deals with the tribulations of three U.S. Army soldiers, played by Burt Lancaster, Montgomery Clift, and Frank Sinatra, stationed on Hawaii in the months leading up to the attack on Pearl Harbor. Name the movie.

Of course! Next question:
This 1990 film starred Tom Hanks as a downtrodden everyman from Staten Island, working a clerical job in a dreary factory for an unpleasant, demanding boss. Roger Ebert gave it 3.5 out of four stars and called it "new and fresh and not shy of taking chances". Name this film.
