I know there are many of these already being done on here, but I want to try this out at least once anyway.
It's my version of "Wheel of Fortune".
If this game works out, there will be returning champions.
There are no toss-up puzzles in this version, therefore numbers will be "drawn" to see who will start the game.
There are no prize puzzles in this version, nor are there any prize wedges on the wheel.
As always, vowels which are purchased will cost $250. If there is a Speed Up Round, vowels are free, but won't add any money to a contestant's bank.
Round 1 is the Jackpot Round. The Jackpot starts at $2,500 and increases every time a dollar amount is hit on the wheel. To win the Jackpot, a player must select a consonant that appears in the puzzle, and then solve the puzzle at that moment.
Round 1 Wheel "layout" is: 900, Bankrupt, 1250, 550, 800, Free Spin, 650, 700, 250 Any Letter*, Jackpot, 300, 400, 250, Bankrupt, 1000, 500, 400, Lose A Turn, 350, 750, 600, Jackpot**, 450, 500
* 250 Any Letter means just that, $250 will be paid per letter that occurs in the puzzle, including vowels, so if you land on that space, it could be beneficial.
** There will be 2 Jackpot spaces on the wheel instead of just 1. Whenever it is landed upon and if a guessed consonant appears in the puzzle, $250 per consonant will be added to the player's bank.
Round 2 is the Mystery Round. One Mystery Wedge will conceal $5,000 while the other will conceal a Bankrupt.
Round 2 Wheel "layout" is: 900, Bankrupt, 1250, 550, 800, Free Spin, 650, 700, 250 Any Letter*, ?500, 300, 400, 250, Bankrupt, 1000, 500, 400, Lose A Turn, 350, 750, 600, ?500, 450, 500
Round 3 is the Express Round. If an Express wedge is landed upon, $500 per consonant. If a letter is not in the puzzle, or if time expires, or a previously guessed letter is selected, that acts like a Bankrupt and the player will lose all his banked cash for the round. There will be 2 Express wedges instead of one.
Round 3 Wheel "layout" is: 900, Bankrupt, 1500, 550, 800, Free Spin, 650, 700, 250 Any Letter*, Express 500, 300, 400, 250, Bankrupt, 1000, 500, 400, Lose A Turn, 350, 750, 600, Express 500, 450, 500
Note - If a player bankrupts while on an Express wedge, if they have a Free Spin token, they may hand it in, however, they must spin again and not automatically play off of the Express wedge.
Round 4 Wheel "layout" is: 900, Bankrupt, 1500, 550, 800, 450, 650, 700, 250 Any Letter*, 2000, 300, 400, 250, Bankrupt, 1000, 500, 400, Lose A Turn, 350, 750, 600, 900, 450, 500
After 40 turns have been taken (spins plus vowel purchases), the game will move into Speed-Up mode.
If 40 or more turns have been taken during the first three rounds, Round 4 will be played entirely in Speed-Up mode.
During the Speed-Up Round, one final spin will be made, and $500 will be added to the amount spun.
The contestant with the most money won during the game will then play one bonus puzzle for extra cash.
Every R, S, T, L, N and E that occurs in the bonus puzzle will be revealed. The player will then be instructed to select three more consonants and one more vowel.
Day 1 - Double the amount of winnings for the day (if they won $10,000 in the game, the bonus puzzle will be worth $20,000)
Day 2 - Triple the amount of winnings for the day ($10,000 for the game means the bonus is worth an additional $30,000)
Day 3 - 4 times the amount of winnings for the day.
Day 4 - 5 times the amount of winnings for the day.
Day 5 - 10 times the amount of winnings for the day plus a luxury automobile.
After Day 5, the player retires.
Random.org will be used to mark a spot on the wheel in secret by me. The player whose turn it is will select a number from 1-24, and I will count that many spaces to determine what the spin result is.
