Joe Garagiola Sr. Dies Today at the Age of 90

Today, the former player and broadcaster Joe Garagiola Sr. who also hosted He Said She Said, To Tell the Truth, and Strike it Rich died at the age of 90. I agree that he did have a great personality after seeing some episodes of Strike it Rich and I know he will be missed.

What's very strange is the night before, on BUZZR, they ran an old "He Said, She Said" episode with Joe hosting, which made me suspect something was up.

He was one of the many voices of my youth, and one of the personalities of my youth too.  He and Yogi are once again reunited now.

Joe was a sensational host and panelist on "To Tell The Truth".  It's a pity that TTTT only lasted one season more with Joe at the helm, after Garry Moore's retirement.

He always had a great deal of enthusiasm, especially for the grand game of baseball.  He and Vin Scully were a sensational broadcast team with NBC.  They did phenomenal work, especially during the 1986 World Series between the eventual champion New York Mets and the star-crossed Boston Red Sox.

Deepest condolences to the Garagiola family.  I believe his son Joe, Jr. is an executive with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
