Ya got one! (audience cheers) It's another delicacy from the American southeast. Raymond, first time you're touching the dice. Give 'em a roll. (Raymond rolls)(scattered applause) And you're starting with an 8 for $800. Again, I explain for new viewers, a lucky throw of doubles could add $2000 or even $3000 to the pot. Then again, an unlucky roll could be worth a small amount of cash or even wipe him out of the round. With that, Raymond, bank the 800 or risk and roll again? (audience shout suggestions) (Note from Doug: Due to my previously announced vacation, Raymond really doesn't have to make a move until Sunday.)

(Raymond rolls)(doubles cue; audience cheers)Ah ha! Double decision time. When Evan rolled a double 2, he won $2000. Recall we shuffled immediately thereafter -- and it's possible $2000 didn't really move in the shuffle. Maybe there's more; maybe there's less; maybe there's a rotten bust. Decision is -- do you want us to add $400 to the pot as normal -- or take a chance and go to the double 2 screen? (audience shouts suggestions)

Going for it. (audience cheers) Instead of a $400 addition to the pot, what happens? (ding) (audience cheers) Double pot -- that's what. In effect, we add 800 more -- which means we have $1600 in the kitty -- and we need to reshuffle the pot. (amounts are shuffled on the double decision board; after shuffling stops, the amounts are covered immediately with the doubles) Well, Raymond, bank the sixteen -- or try for more green?

(some clap; others groan) Ahhh, some of the folks in the audience wanted you to keep rolling. (ding)Then again, it's your money, not theirs. Evan leads 2800 to 1600. Round 6 starting now. Unless Raymond banks exactly $1200 in this round, the catch-up round follows. Last item on the menu. Tell me whether or not it's real. Jellied cow's foot

You say, "Yes." I say, "It's from Poland. You're right." (audience applause)Another free roll for you, Raymond. (Raymond rolls) (audience cheers) Best free roll possible -- box cars. Now to ensure money is seeded into the pot -- $1200 in this case -- there's no double decision to make on the free roll. So with that, Raymond, interesting decision to make here. You may bank $1200 and we'll play a tie-breaker question instead of the catch-up round -- or risk the money on another roll of the dice. What do you do? (audience shouts suggestions)

(audience cheers)Stopping and banking two large. (ding) (tones sound) And there's the signal we've reached the catch-up round. Again, please let me explain for new viewers joining us how the catch-up round works. Evan, since you're trailing, we start with you. In this round, you get one roll of the dice. If you succeed in tying or outscoring Raymond, then he will have a chance to capitalize and take back the lead. Keep in mind you're not building a pot. The value of your roll is added immediately to your bank. Also keep in mind there are no free rolls -- so that means if the dice total 7, it's a bust. You won't gain anything with a 7 -- but you won't lose anything either. And since there are no free rolls, the double decision board remains active. In fact, we need to reshuffle it. (amounts are shuffled on the double decision board; after shuffling stops, the amounts are covered immediately with the doubles)We've attached extra rolls of the dice to two of the amounts up there. Another screen will double your bank. But then there are piddly amounts to steer clear of. Evan, anything higher than a 7 or a double will keep you in this game. So -- when you're ready -- give those dice a toss and let's see what happens. (Evan, please respond with a number from 1-100 for your catch-up roll.)

(Evan rolls) (audience cheers) The yo-leven adds $1100 to your bank. (ding)That gives the champ a $300 lead over the challenger. Raymond, if you rolled a 2, you'd have to default to the double decision board. A 3 means we play a tie-breaker question. If you rolled a 7, that's a bust and Evan wins Game 1. Anything else -- and you win Game 1. When you're ready, give 'em a roll, please. (Raymond, please respond with a number from 1-100 for your catch-up roll.)

(Raymond rolls) It's an 8 and you win. (dings; audience applause)Another 800 bucks in your coffers, Raymond, bring you up to a winning total of $4400. You'll notice that a circled star has just lit up on your side of the board. That represents the first gold coin you've earned in the match. You'll need to win one more game in this match to earn that second gold coin to go to the Bonus Bonanza. Evan needs to earn two gold coins in a row if he wants to go back to the Bonus Bonanza. We'll be back for our second game of this match -- when you return to the dice table. (commercial cue plays; audience applauds)

(audience cheers)And we welcome back to Hot Dice. Raymond Weaver won our first game and $4400. Evan banked $3900 in that game. Players, while you *do* get to keep every penny you bank on this show... (ding)...we start with fresh banks when a new game starts. No special theme of questioning for the rest of the match. Just basic general knowledge multiple choice questions -- starting with this one. (time passes) (buzz buzz) Oh -- didn't bank or roll in time -- and that means... (bust cue; audience groans)...the money goes bye-bye. Sorry about that -- but we've gotta keep on keepin' on. As we start Round 2, this next question's a bit long -- so play carefully. "The Apprentice: Martha Stewart", "All-Star Celebrity Apprentice" or the debut season of "The Apprentice". Bethenny Frankel made it all the way to the final two, but lost, on which business-themed reality competition? 19 Twentington 42 bowlerraymond 22 randomizer.org(Evan buzzes in)Evan?

(Doug looks to judge...) (...who activates bell)We know what you're talking about. You're right. (audience applause)As I recall early in "The Apprentice: Martha Stewart", Bethenny and one of the judges acknowledged they knew each other from another project. In any event, your first roll in Game 2 comes now, Evan. (Evan rolls)(audience groans)Argh. Really? No double decision on the free roll. That's to ensure we start with something in the pot. Again for the new viewers, if a 7 is rolled on the free roll, we'll make it worth $700 instead of a loss of turn. So with all that clarified, Evan, are you willing to risk $200?
