Interesting that you'd call higher on a Jack, but we'll see if that risk pays off. Tiffany, show us the next card, please.
(A ♣)
ding!
(loud cheers and applause)
Imagine that, you called it right! You know, I can't recall the last time someone went against the odds like that, but good thing you did. You are now one card away from tying up the match, so are you going to continue or freeze?

For the tie, is it lower than an Ace? Show it to us!
(5 ⋄)
ding-ding-ding!
(1978 CS Win Cue)
Yes, it is, and we have a tie match! So pathfinder wins the second round, and $1,000 cash. But we will play a tiebreaker round to see who will play the Money Cards at the end of the show. (1978 CS Theme) Back after this.

And welcome back to Card Sharks, everybody! It's now time for the Tiebreaker round, and whoever wins this will win the match and play the Money Cards round. Once again, we will present the first question of the round to mringgenberg. We asked 100 people this question:
"The Golden State Warriors are currently threatening the 20-year-old NBA record for most wins in a season, set by none other than the Chicago Bulls with 72. Do you think that the Warriors will break that record?"
How many of those people said yes?

mringgenberg says 27...
ding!
...and pathfinder20 says that it's higher.
ding!
And the actual number people who said that the Warriors will break the Bulls' wins record is...
ding-ding-ding!
...58, so it is higher, and pathfinder20 gets to play the cards first. What's the base card, Tiffany?
(A ⋄)
(cheers from audience)
Wow, another Ace! I think it's obvious what you're going to say, but are you going to play or change it?

The only way you won't continue is if it's another 2. What is it, Tiffany?
(J ♠)
ding!
And now, you're one card away from winning the match and the game, along with a chance to play the Money Cards. So what are you going to do?

Lower this time!

This is for the chance to go to the Money Cards round. So Tiffany, is it lower than a Jack?
(A ♥)
buzz!
OH NO!!! I thought you had it, but it was a cruel Ace that denied you. SO mringgenberg has a chance to play his cards. Your base card is...
(J ♠)
...a Jack, and you cannot change it; you must play it right now. Is the next card higher or lower?

There are only four cards that will stop you right there, so you have a pretty good chance. Is it higher than a 5?
(Q ♣)
ding!
A Queen! Two cards away from the Money Cards right now. What's your decision now?

Yes, and you are just one card away from taking the match and the chance to win even more in the Money Cards round. Now what are you going to do?

As long as it's not a 5 or lower, you will be the champ. Otherwise, we will go to another question. Now Amber, will you please flip over that last card?
(K ♥)
ding-ding-ding!
(1978 CS Win Cue)
Congratulations, mringgenberg, you win the match, and another $1,000. And you will be going to the Money Cards round as well. But I want to say pathfinder20, thank you for playing a good game, even though you didn't win. Hopefully, we'll see you again soon. (1978 CS Theme) When we come back, mringgenberg will take on the Money Cards for a chance to win lots and lots of money! Find out how much he'll take home after these messages.

Welcome back, folks! It's now time for the Money Cards round, where mringgenberg can win lots and lots of money. But regardless of what happens here, you are guaranteed $2,000, and you will be back on the next show. Now, we're going to start you off with $500, and you can change the base card on each row if you want. We have four cards on the first row, three on the second row, and one on the last. The second row is worth $1,000, and you must bet at least $100 for each card, except that if you get to the Big Bet, you must bet at least half of what you have at that point. If you bust on the first row, you can restart on the second row, but a second bust ends the game. Now that we got all that out of the way, are you ready to play? Alright, here we go with the base card on the first row. It is...
(5 ⋄)
...a 5! Would you like to play it right now or change it?
