PAT SAJAK: Hey Bill, how you doing? (shakes hands)

PAT: I'll bet you are, with that $100,000 winner! I'm so happy for you.
Thanks, Pat! And that was just the first show. It's time to prepare for the next one.
PAT: I see your puzzles have lots of references to famous people. I mean, you had Drew and Mariah Carey, then Steve Harvey, and the late Whitney Houston, for starters. It makes me wish they had never cancelled my talk show back in 1990.
Well, you just might get another chance in 2018. That's when your contract with the show ends, right?
PAT: Right. You'll have to wait two more years to apply for the host position, but right now, this show is a great way for you to practice. Hey Vanna, what do you think of this guy? He's doing quite great at it, don't you think?
VANNA: He is, and it's a pleasure working with him.
PAT: And Bill, I have just one thing left to say. It's the same thing I told Bob Goen back in 1989: Be good to Vanna. Congratulations, and good luck with your show!
