Seen this game on another board and, since we have a "roll" feature here, I'll try this game.
Full rulesheet HERE
Abridged scoreboard:
A decathlon consists of ten independent disciplines: 100 Metres, Long Jump, Shot Put, High Jump, 400 Metres, 110 Metre Hurdles, Discus, Pole-Vault, Javelin and 1500 Metres.
The players try to score as many points as possible in each discipline using various dice rolls. The player with the highest total of points after the ten disciplines wins the competition.
The rules for each discipline are unique, and will be specified when the discipline begins.
Players start the first event just by posting in the thread. For each new discipline, next attempt or next height, a reminder will be PMed to all the contestants still involved. You can always join the game late, but please make your intentions clear.
If a discipline consists of several attempts, all first attempts are played first, then all second attempts, and so on. Similarly, if a discipline goes over several heights, all players have three consecutive jumps at the first height, then all players jump the next height and so on.
Each discipline awards medals: gold, silver and bronze. The person with the highest score after all 10 disciplines is the grand winner. End-game ties are broken by number of gold, then number of silver, then number of bronze and so on. In-game ties are broken in a specific manner, detailed for each discipline.
The "roll" button is the second-rightmost icon when you make a complete reply. If you use the quick reply, just type "roll" into [brackets].
Have fun.
