Learned a short while ago that legendary singer Natalie Cole also died yesterday, December 31, 2015 at the age of 65 due to "ongoing health issues".
She of course was the daughter of legendary crooner Nat King Cole who himself died far too young at age 45 back in 1965.
In loving memory of the unforgettable Natalie Cole and Nat King Cole...

The one song of hers I really enjoyed the most is "Jumpstart My Heart", which made the top 20 in the fall of 1987. Of her ballads, "I Live for Your Love" is the one I enjoy. Her upbeat cover of Springsteen's "Pink Cadillac" was pretty good, but it's vaguely heard these days (Spring 1988 rebroadcasts of American Top 40 are pretty much the only times you'll hear that song). I didn't really care for her material after "Pink Cadillac", though. Wouldn't shock me if her health issues were linked to drugs. Nevertheless, 65 years old is too young for someone to die. She's now singing "Unforgettable" with her father in that big recording studio in the sky. R.I.P. Ms. Cole.

I suspect drug use/abuse contributed to it. I hadn't realized she too had those types of issues. It's the worst. My 28 year old nephew died in November 2013 due to drug abuse. Tragic.

That is just a terrible thing indeed to happen.
