According to ESPN.com, the wild-card schedule is as follows: SaturdayKansas City @ Houston, 4:20 (ESPN/ABC) Pittsburgh @ Cincinnati, 8:15 (CBS) SundaySeattle @ Minnesota, 1:05 (NBC) Green Bay @ Washington, 4:40 (FOX) For the first time ever, all of the Big Four networks will broadcast the NFL on the same weekend, with one game going to each network. An interesting footnote is that ABC has not televised any NFL game since Super Bowl XL ten years ago, due to MNF having moved to sister channel ESPN. MY PICKS: Houston, Cincinnati, Seattle, Green Bay

Very possible 3 out of 4 or even all 4 road teams could win.
It's also an anomaly that both AFC Wildcard games are being played on Saturday and both NFC Wildcard games on Sunday. To the best of my recollection, this is the first time ever that we didn't have one each on both days.
I like Pittsburgh's chances vs the Bengals, especially with Dalton out of the lineup.
Kansas City has been on fire and I very much like their chances vs. a Houston team from a very weak division.
I pray Minnesota wins. I cannot stand the Seahags. It will indeed be another anomaly when the Vikings host their first outdoor playoff game since the NFC Championship Game vs. the then Los Angeles Rams, way back on December 26, 1976!
I do not quite understand how or why the Redskins are the only home team favored this weekend. Green Bay played a tougher schedule I believe, and at the very least in a tougher division to be sure. I realize I am partial and biased, but I believe Green Bay will get the victory here, although if the Redskins won, I'd be okay with it.
I'd love to see KC, Cincinnati or Houston come out of the AFC. Growing tired of New England, Denver and Pittsburgh getting there so often.
Would also love to see Arizona, Carolina, Minnesota or Washington emerge from the NFC. Green Bay, although I love them, have won so much, and Seattle's been there 2 years in a row and I cannot stand them.

Well, I'm looking to root for Denver and whoever will be playing New England in the Divisional Playoff. Needless to say, I cannot stand the Patriots!
As for the NFC, I'm hoping that either Carolina or Arizona makes it out. The others I could care less about.

ONE WILD BLOWOUT AND A OUT OF CONTROL FINISH
TONIGHT, THE TEXANS SUCKED OUT THERE AGAINST THE CHIEFS AS THE CHIEFS WON 30-0. Niles Davis started it with a 106 yard opening kickoff return for a touchdown and the rest was hell! But I thought that the second game of the day was boring as the Steelers led 6-0 at halftime. But then in the third quarter, they went up 15-0 that the fans at Cincinnati were throwing water bottles on the field. The Bengals then scored 18 unanswered points. But with two huge personal fouls, the Steelers got a field goal to take the lead. The Bengals had no chance, and the Steelers won 18-16. Worse, they kept throwing trash onto the field. If there is one thing about tonight, it was complete hell in one day.

WILD CARD GAMES OVER Well, we are at the end of the Wild Card Games.
First, I thought the first game would be boring, but it was not. The Seahawks came back in the fourth quarter, but they got lucky after the Vikings missed a 27 yard field goal to win the game. The Seahawks won 10-9.
Second, the Redskins had a small lead at the end of the first against the Packers. But the Packers dominated huge in the game and won 35-18 to advance.
The divisional playoff schedule is now at the top.

I am with Bill, although if the Packers won I'd be fine with that too, as I tend to root for them.
The only reason I want Carolina or Arizona to keep on winning is to get to the Super Bowl and win it. They are the only 2 current teams left who have not won it. If the Chiefs get there and win it, I would be very pleased with that outcome too. I am pulling for all 3 of these teams because of the Philadelphia Eagles and their fans and the local yokel media.
Just imagine them seething should Andy Reid win a ring. Also if the Cards or Panthers win a Super Bowl, they would become yet another new team to win one before the Eagles did. For that reason especially, I'd love to see the Panthers win it all. Eagle fans would be so jealous, a 21 year old expansion team winning it all...MWAH HA HA HA

The Cardinals got the possession first. They made a huge 71 yard pass that led to a touchdown to win the game 26-20.

SUPER BOWL 50 SET: BRONCOS VS. PANTHERS First is the AFC championship between the Patriots and the Broncos. The Broncos scored a touchdown in the first quarter. There was a challenger by the Patriots that it was not dropped. We found out that the ball never touched the ground, but it was not a touchdown. The Patriots scored a touchdown, but missed the extra point making it 7-6 at the end of the first quarter. After a huge interception in the second quarter, the Broncos scored another touchdown. The Patriots scored a field goal. The Broncos scored a field goal making it 17-9 at halftime. The Patriots scored a field goal in the third quarter making it 17-12. The Broncos scored a field goal in the fourth quarter making it an eight point game. The Patriots went for it on fourth and one . They did complete a pass, but they were stopped and turned it over on downs. But they got the ball back and converted on fourth and ten making it first and goal. It came down to fourth and goal that they score a touchdown. After a review, it was in bounds. They were forced to go for two but it was intercepted and no good. It forced an onside kick with 12 seconds left. The kick failed and the Broncos won 20-18 to become AFC champions.
Second is the NFC Championship between the Cardinals and the Panthers. The Panthers scored a field goal in the first quarter. They scored two more touchdowns including one from Corey Brown who went 87 yards making it 17-0 at the end of the first quarter. The Cardinals scored a touchdown in the second quarter. On a later punt, the Cardinals fumbled it, the Panthers recovered, and it led to another Panthers touchdown. Patrick Peterson of the Cardinals made an interception and re-turned it 72 yards. But it all got blown as Carson Palmer of the Cardinals threw an interception into the end zone making it 24-7 at halftime. The Panthers scored a field goal and a touchdown in the third making it unwatchable. They won 49-15 to become NFC Champions and will take on the Broncos in Super Bowl 50.

Goodbye, Patriots and good riddance.
This should be a good Super Bowl. I pick Carolina to win it all.

Regardless of who wins Super Bowl L (sorry I refused to use the Arabic number), I will be most pleased. If Denver wins it, I will be glad for Peyton Manning to win another, especially since he will now be the oldest quarterback in the history of the Super Bowl. If Carolina wins it, I will also be glad for those folks in the Charlotte area. If the Panthers do win, they will be the 20th different team to have won a Super Bowl. I will take particular delight in that since that would leave only 12 current NFL teams to never win the Lombardi trophy, with Philadelphia being one of those 12 I must confess too, I would love to see an overtime Super Bowl for the first time in history. Lastly, the AFC will be deemed the home team, which means they get to choose what color jersey they will wear. I am assuming Denver will go with a non-white jersey. If they go with an orange top, they will probably lose. Teams who have worn orange jerseys have never won the Super Bowl. Denver is the only team to have ever worn an orange jersey in the Super Bowl. I wonder if superstition will have them wear the dark blue jerseys that they wore when they won Super Bowl XXXII with John Elway at the helm vs. Green Bay. TRIVIA: Of the first 49 Super Bowls, the team who wore the white jerseys won 31 times while the team wearing the dark jerseys won only 18 times.

This is going to be hard to decide, but it'll be Denver for me; I'd love to see Peyton Manning end his career with a Super Bowl ring like John Elway. Although I wouldn't mind seeing Cam Newton and the Panthers raise the Lombardi trophy either.

I voted for Denver for two reasons.
1. I am old school, and I am of the mind that "Defense wins championships."
2. ESPN announced this morning that Denver has elected to wear white jerseys since they were 0-4 in Super Bowls when wearing orange, each time a blow-out at that!

PRO BOWL HIGHLIGHTS Team Rice won the toss and would start the first quarter at the 25 yard line. They easily scored a touchdown. Team Irvin got a touchdown and went for two They failed making it 7-6. They made a huge interception and then scored a touchdown. They went for two and did making it 14-7. Team Rice had a chance for the end zone, but it failed keeping it 14-7 at the end of the first quarter. Team Irvin got the ball at the 25 yard line to start the second quarter. They scored a touchdown and got the extra point. Team Irvin made an interception but they fumbled the ball and Team Rice recovered it. Team Rice made a touchdown, but it had to be reviewed. The receiver did not have possession in the end zone reversing the call (although they would be able to accept an offside against the defense). They still managed to score a touchdown. Team Irvin scored a touchdown making it 28-14 at halftime. Team Rice got the ball to start the third quarter and scored a touchdown. Andre Robinson of Team Irvin went 50 yards for a touchdown. It was not even close afterward as Team Irvin won 49-27. Russell Wilson of the Seahawks was named Pro Bowl MVP.

DENVER BRONCOS SUPER BOWL 50 CHAMPIONS
FIRST HALF I thought the Panthers would be huge with only one loss tonight. The Broncos scored early with a field goal, but the worst was when Cam Newton of the Panthers fumbled the ball and Von Miller of the Broncos recovered it in the end zone for a touchdown. The Broncos led 10-0 at the end of the first quarter. The Panthers scored one in the second quarter. In the second quarter, John Norwood of the Broncos made a 69 yard punt return for the biggest in Super Bowl history. It led to a field goal making it 13-7 at halftime.
HALFTIME SHOW The Pepsi Halftime Show, I had questions about. I did like Coldplay for sure, but I was not sure about the other two and I don't want to metion them at this time though.
REST OF THE SUPER BOWL The rest was not much as I thought. The Broncos scored a field goal in the third. The Panthers scored one in the fourth, but the Broncos easily had it with a touchdown with the two point conversion. The Broncos won 24-10 and became Super Bowl Champions. Von Miller was named the MVP. Now if you are wondering if Peyton Manning will retire, it is yet to be determined.

I was one of the 2 who voted for Denver to win. Defense wins championships. They were also more experienced, many of them having been to the big game only 2 years ago.
Looks like Carolina and Seattle and throw in Arizona too will be an interesting trio of NFC teams to contend with. Green Bay will still be pretty good, but the window seems to be shutting on them.
Congrats to the Denver Broncos, becoming another team, along with the Patriots (4), Steelers (6), Raiders (3), Packers (3), Redskins (3), Giants (4), Cowboys (5) and 49ers (5), to have won a minimum of three Vince Lombardi Trophies.
Amazing to think that only 9 teams out of 32 now account for 72% of Super Bowl wins!
