There's that nine and you've won $25,000! (1987 theme; $25,000 graphic flashes on screen) Now that's what I call a Christmas present! Matt, listen to me very carefully. Your grand total is now up to $31,600. And when we come back from the commercial break, you're going to play for a brand new automobile. Stick around and see how Matt does in the car portion after this. (fade to commercial)

(Back to the studio) We have returned, and during that set of commercials, Ian felt that it would be best to wish Matt luck on winning a car. And I think that that is very good sportsmanship. Now then Matt, take a look at the cars that we have for you to try and win. (Matt looks at the cars) We have a Volkswagen Golf TSI S, a Dodge Challenger, a Toyota Camry, a Chevy Impala and a Kia Rio. (I hand Matt a set of keys) Now before you make a selection, I will inform you that the Impala is unavailable because Ian tried the key in that car yesterday and it didn't fit. But the remaining four cars are all good cars themselves. That said, Matt, tell me which car besides the Impala you'd like to try the key in.

Very well. Let's head over to the Challenger. (Matt and I do so; Matt gets in the driver's seat) Listen to me very carefully Matt. On the count of three, I want you to turn the key in the ignition and we'll see if that becomes your car. Here we go. One, two three. (Matt turns the key; buzzer) That Dodge Challenger is not your car. However, the odds increase for the next show for which you'll be returning with $31,600. We will return following these words. (Fade to commercial)

(Back to the studio) I bet you folks at home are anxious to find out how you can become part of all the fun and excitement of High Rollers. So listen to Rich as he tells you all about it. Rich: If you'd like to be a contestant on High Rollers, then send your request to be a player in a self addressed stamped envelope to the following.
CONTESTANTS High Rollers CBS Television City 7800 Beverly Blvd. Los Angeles CA 90036
Or you can apply online on the CBS website. And now, back to Mark. Me: Thank you very much, Rich. Now as you all know, we've got Christmas coming up very shortly. So what we did following yesterday's show was we performed our own version of the classic poem Twas The Night Before Christmas, with Rich acting as the narrator. Here's how it went. (Camera switches to a shot of the set following episode 23, which is filled with props for our performance of Twas The Night Before Christmas) Rich: Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.
The children were nestled all snug in their beds, While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads. And Mama in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap, Had just settled our brains for a long winter’s nap.
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter, I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter. Away to the window I flew like a flash, Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below. When, what to my wondering eyes should appear, But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer.
With a little old driver, so lively and quick, I knew in a moment it must be St Nick. More rapid than eagles his coursers they came, And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!
"Now Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen! On, Comet! On, Cupid! On Donner and Blitzen! To the top of the porch! To the top of the wall! Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!"
As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly, When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky. So up to the house-top the coursers they flew, With the sleigh full of toys, and St Nicholas too.
And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof The prancing and pawing of each little hoof. As I drew in my head, and was turning around, Down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound.
He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot, And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot. A bundle of toys he had flung on his back, And he looked like a peddler, just opening his pack.
His eyes-how they twinkled! His dimples how merry! His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry! His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow, And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow.
The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth, And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath. He had a broad face and a little round belly, That shook when he laughed, like a bowlful of jelly!
He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf, And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself! A wink of his eye and a twist of his head, Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work, And filled all the stockings, then turned with a jerk. And laying his finger aside of his nose, And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose!
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle, And away they all flew like the down of a thistle. But I heard him exclaim, ‘ere he drove out of sight, "Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!" (audience applauds, camera switches back)
Me: Well now, that was certainly wonderful. As the poem says, a Merry Christmas to all. We'll be back with more exciting High Rollers action for you soon. (We Wish You a Merry Christmas plays) See you next time. (End credits roll, with We Wish You a Merry Christmas playing over the credits; fade out)
Episode 25 will begin after Christmas.
