Mark so far has a total of $33,535 in cash and a car. This will be his second day with us.
In this episode, I'm introducing a new element borrowed from the Filipino version. It's called The Power Wedge. Landing on it, after calling a correct letter, allows a player to steal all current round winnings from an opponent (although I thought it was from both opponents). If neither opponent has any money, the player still has to call a correct letter at no value to keep his turn. This applies to wedges, too.
So, who wants to play?

(as the audience chants, the contestants run to their spots) Audience: WHEEL! OF! FORTUNE![OPENING THEME](As we pan through the stage, a graphic of the Wheel forms, starting with several colored rings curling into place to form the frame of the Wheel, followed by the wedges falling down to form the Wheel itself, which transforms into this logo) Jim Thornton: (VO) From the Sony Pictures Studios, it's America's game!(the animation reverses itself over a shot of the audience) The famous Wheel is spinning your way, with lots of cash and an assortment of fabulous and exciting prizes! And now, here are your host and hostess, Greg Palmer and Katie Cantrell!(Katie and I walk out together, a la Pat and Vanna, to cheers and applause) Greg: Thank you, Jim. (to Katie) Let's be careful out there. (the two of us separate as I go to my spot) Good morning, everyone, and welcome to Wheel of Fortune. The show that dares ask the question, "Can three contestants find happiness when there are no Toss-Ups?" Yes, it's classic Wheel at its best, with some new and tantalizing features. But first, we must meet our contestants. First, we have Zack Corsetti from Barrie, Ontario, Canada. Hi, Zack. Please tell us about yourself.

I'm 16, like music, I enjoy video games, and watched game shows ever since I was a youngster.

Oh, really. All right. Now, I hear they have rather unique game shows up north. What are some of the unique or more unusual ones you've seen?

All right, then. Good luck today. And over here, we have another Canadian, Mark Liotta. He's from Toronto, and he cleaned up yesterday. $33,535 in cash and prizes. (audience cheers) Welcome back, Mark. So, do you have any plans for the car?

Driving around in it and picking up as many girls as possible.

Sounds like an admirable goal. I'm sure it seats five, so you can get at least four in. And then you can take them all out for pizza, eh? Ha ha ha ha. You see, folks, Mark works at a pizzeria. Have you figured out your specialty yet?

Hmmm.... sounds pretty American to me. Good luck to you. And the only American on our panel today is John Lopez, from Titusville, Florida. That's WESH-TV territory. Hiya, John. Tell us about yourself.

Well Greg, I'm an aspiring writer, avid game player, and big time Wheel fan.

Well, I'm big enough to know this Daytime version is easily one of the better versions set-wise and music-wise. And as far as writing goes, I mostly relegate myself to writing scripts and short stories.

(shouting over to the back) Do you hear that, Harry? Looks like you'll have to change the nighttime show fast! (audience laughs, I return to normal) Well nice having you here. Good luck to you. Let's take a look at the wheel. (I spin it) All right, that was a good warmup. $1,500 is the top dollar amount in Round 1, and two things I'd like to point out. First, there's the $100,000 on Bankrupt sandwich. If you land in the middle, guess a letter, solve the puzzle and win the game, all without hitting Bankrupt, and you'll have a 1-in-3 shot of winning a cool hundred grand. Something else I'd like to point out is the Power Wedge. Anyone who lands on it and correctly guesses a letter can steal the earnings of any opponent they want in that round. That includes prize and $100,000 wedges, by the way. (audience cheers) But be careful, because there is a downside, and I'll explain that as we go. Muhahahaha! We're playing for cash, and here's the first puzzle. (category cue)
