Lots of new twists and other features now!

As always, the main element will remain, trying to score 21 without going over.

The Gambit Board bonus game will be the same. The car bonus game will be the same as well.

Some new elements being introduced, partially inspired by the 1979 Gambit pilot that I viewed yesterday.

Contestants will now alternate turns selecting from the question board.

Six letters in GAMBIT, so there will always be six possibilities. Some trivia questions, but other new features now too.

The question types will always be shuffled after each turn, unknown to the players and audience what lurks where.

Here are the six possible things that can happen during a player's turn now.

After they select one of the GAMBIT letters, they may draw a Multiple Choice question. 3 possible answers will be given. A correct answer wins $100 and control of the card. A wrong answer gives $100 to the other player as well as control of the card, unless they have already frozen.

They may select a standard trivia question, with no multiple choice answers. These could prove to be a bit more difficult.

They may select a word puzzle type question. These can vary as to what types of word puzzles they are, and will be explained when they are selected.

They may select a $100 bonus plus Free Card. If that is done, the player instantly gets to decide if they wish to keep the card or pass it, again unless the other player has already frozen.

They may select $100 and pick again.

Or they may pick Dice Decision. The player will have to predict if the electronic dice will yield an odd or an even result. A correct prediction wins $100 and control of the next card. An incorrect prediction will give the other player $100 and control, again unless that other player has already frozen.



Bigger news still.

Gambit P.M.'s next episode will be a FULL HOUR long!

Here's how it will work.

Two challengers will face off in a best two out of three game match. The winner will take on the previous night's champion in a best two out of three match as well.

Here's how the segments of the show will work:


Segment 1 - Introductions and Game 1 of the match between two new challengers.

Segment 2 - The game 1 winner will play a brand NEW 21 style game called "Intuition". This is inspired by the bonus game of the "21" Pilot done by Jim Lange back in the early 1980s. If the player beats the house, they win $1,000 in bonus cash. If the house wins, no bonus money is won by the player, and the Intuition Jackpot will grow by $500 for the next episode. The house has to stay on 17 and above, the player keeps taking numbers until they beat the house or go over. If the house gets 21, the player loses and the game is over. If the player gets to 21 first, regardless of the house's score, the player automatically wins.

Segment 3 - Game 2 of the match, and if need be, the Tie-Breaker.

Segment 4 - Triple Play. Another new bonus game for the winner of this preliminary match. This is basically the Catch 21 bonus game. The match winner is given 3 power chips and a new deck of 52 cards which they will cut. For every 21 scored, they will win $2,100. $6,300 total is possible. If a player busts in any one column, they win $0. They can quit at any time. Any hands below 21 will pay $25 per point.

Segment 5 - The winner of the first match will play the current champion in Game 1 of the Championship Match.

Segment 6 - Mid Show Bumper

Segment 7 - Beat the Dealer mini-bonus game. As always, the winner of game 1 of this match gets to play this mini bonus game.

Segment 8 - Game 2 of the Championship Match and if necessary, the tie-breaker game.

Segment 9 - The Gambit Board & Car Bonus Game

Segment 10 - Final recap, end credits.

Nathan and you are both champions. Nathan was the winner on episode 13 and you on episode 14. I have one other person who requested to play a while ago.

We'll do something to figure out if it will be your or Nathan who will have to play the first match.

A very pleasant good evening to you all, and welcome
to the start of season 2 here on Gambit P.M.
We have several new features, while still keeping
many of the original elements of Gambit as well.

And of course starting tonight, we are now a SIXTY
minute program!

Part of our new format is playing two complete matches
each evening, the first of which would ordinarily be
between two new challengers, however, this evening
it's a bit different. I'll explain why.

On our next to last episode last season, we crowned a new
champion. He was unable to participate in the last
episode of the first season, so we have another
champion from that episode.

After a coin toss, the winner of our last match will be
participating in our preliminary match against a brand
new challenger. The winner of that best 2 out of 3 match
will then go on to face our current champion, who is
back after a one episode absence. We're going to meet him
right now, back with a one day cash and prize total of
$8,300, here's Nathan Diniz!

Well Bill, I've been really busy. I'm moving into my brother's basement (which will be larger), and I'm also working on some "top secret" stuff, which I will talk more about later on. I currently live in Mobridge, SD with my brother, his girlfriend and her daughter.

Raymond, welcome back to Gambit P.M.  You are playing in this preliminary challengers' match due to a coin toss we had earlier.

On our last show, you actually found the car symbol, but elected to give the car back, come back to try to win another match and perhaps find the car and win $50,000 tonight.  That's what you will do if you get there, and possibly even $1,000,000 in cash!

And also ready to go is our new player, we're meeting him for the first time, Kourtney, welcome to Gambit P.M.  Being from southern Georgia, are you a big college football fan?  The SEC is quite the powerhouse conference and has been for many years.

Also, you enjoy storytelling.  Do you write, or do you just provide stories for family and friends when at a gathering?

Actually not the biggest football fan. However I can say that my alma mater won three national titles in the Division II in the last ten years. I do write a bit (as far as roleplaying) and also journal at times as well.

I know my love and passion for the old "pigskin" game has waned over the past several years as well.  Fanfiction and journaling, sounds terrific!  I too fancy myself a novice writer, and I welcome you to Gambit P.M. Kourtney.




Lily is now going to break the seal on a brand new deck of 52 freshly shuffled Gambit cards, which was done under the ever watchful CBS eye known as Standards and Practices.


Kourtney, since you are the newest contestant, we will ask you at this time to please cut the cards by selecting a number higher than 0 but lower than 52.  This will represent how deeply into the deck you wish the cards to be cut.


We play the best two out of three game match.  The winner of THIS match will go on to play our current champion Nathan in another 2 out of 3 match to try to become the new Gambit P.M. champion, where you can win lots of prizes, including a new Cadillac plus $1,000,000 in cash!

(audience gasps)



Whichever one of you gets closer to 21 without going over will win the first game of the match and $25 per point, with a house minimum of $250.



However, if either of you hits 21 exactly, you will win the game instantly and instead of winning $25 per point, you will instead win the Any 21 Jackpot.

In our preliminary match, the Any 21 Jackpot will start at...

One-thousand dollars.  For each game it is not won, it will grow by $250.

The game 1 winner will then go on to play a new mini bonus game called INTUITION for a chance at a $1,000 bonus.

Lastly, the winner of game 1 will start game 2 with a slight advantage, by receiving a Power Marker.  More about those later.

For now Kourtney, please give those cards a cut and then we can proceed.

Raymond select a letter in GAMBIT, and we'll see what you get.  It could be a Q&A card, which means I'll ask a question and you must answer, or it may be a multiple choice question, where I give 3 possible answers and you must select the correct answer.  It might be a word puzzle, or it might be a dice game of ODD or EVEN.  It may be $100 and pick again, or it may be $100 and a free card, in this case the 4.
