(Uh, sorry about that, Mark—my computer's connection took a bit too long for my last answer to get through.)

(Apology accepted) You are correct and you have a decision to make. The good numbers still left are 3,7,9,10 and 12. Roll the dice or pass them to Matt?

(3,2; bad roll sfx) A five won't help you here. Matt, you have won the first round! (Game win sfx) Well done there, Matt. You've won the trip to the Galapagos, as well as a thousand bucks for winning the first round. We'll play our second round after this break. (Fade to commercial)

In the words of Maxwell Smart, and as quoted by many: missed it by that much.

(Back to the studio) Matt currently leads the match one game to none, so what that means for Ian is that he must win this round in order to force a tiebreaker. Speaking of which, I'll point out that should this match go to a tiebreaker, it will consist of a single question followed by dice rolls the rest of the way. With that said, let's put a new prize in column two. Rich: It's a trip to Maui. You'll fly round trip from LA to Maui, Hawaii for a six night stay in a deluxe oceanview room at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa. Daily breakfast is also included. This trip retails for $9,410. Me: That's a pretty good prize. So that slightly lowers the total value of the board for this round, but it's still a good total amount. $21,274 worth to be exact. Let's see where the numbers line up this time around.
6 3 4 5 7 8 9 1 2
Hot column for this round is column two. If one of you should be lucky enough to clear out the middle column and win the round, then you'll be off to Maui. Our first question of the round is coming up right now, and it's a multiple choice question so listen carefully. The Portuguese founded Brazil's capital city of Rio De Janeiro in what year? Was it 1545, 1565 or 1585?

(2,2; doubles sfx) Hey there! That double means a marker for you. (I hand Ian a marker) Now how do you want to clear off the 4?

The 4 itself

Let's get the four out of there.
6 3 X 5 7 8 9 1 2
And here's the next question. Who played the hot headed George Knox in the 1994 film Angels In The Outfield?

Let's take the five away.
6 3 X X 7 8 9 1 2
And here comes the next question. In the 1985 film A Summer To Remember, what is the name of the orangutan?

The 2 and 8 for the waverunner!

Very well.
6 3 X X 7 X 9 1 X
You know, of course, that you have to win this round in order to take home that waverunner. Next question. What is Sri Lanka's largest city?

(bad roll sfx) The only bad number up there and it ends up getting rolled. Ian, that waverunner is yours along with $1,000 in cash and we'll play our tiebreaker after this. (Fade to commercial)

(Back to the studio) All right, we're about to play our first tiebreaker round of the season. Whoever wins this round wins the match as well as $2,000 in cash. Now Ian won the waverunner in the second game, so we'll put a new prize in column three. What prize do we have in there this time, Rich? Rich: It's a desktop computer. This 23 inch computer includes 8 gigabytes of ram and a printer. Total value: $2,054. Me: That makes the board worth $14,464 in this round. Let's line up the numbers for this deciding game.
5 8 3 4 6 2 7 9 1
Hot column is column three. Roll a six and you could end up with that computer. All right, in this round, only one question will be asked and then it will be dice rolls only. Here comes the question. What two teams competed in the first ever World Series in 1903?
