Michael and Raymond are in the middle of a match and I need both of them to check in so that we can begin the show.

All right, let's get going. One thing to keep in mind before we begin is that all deadlines will be 48 hours. Let's start the show right now! (cue intro) Johnny: From Television City in Hollywood, it's the game where knowledge is king and Lady Luck is queen! It's The Joker's Wild! And now, here's our special guest host for The Joker's Wild, Mark Liotta! (I come out to a tremendous applause) Me: Thank you, Johnny Gilbert. (Intro fades out) Welcome once again to The Joker's Wild, folks. Tony is still out of commission, but we do hope that he'll be able to return to The Joker's Wild soon. Now then, let's get re-familiarized with our two contestants. Johnny, please tell everybody who today's players are. Johnny: Player number one is an avid bowling fan, Raymond Weaver! And player number two is Michael Koontz! Me: Michael is our returning champion at the moment, having accumulated $2,000 in winnings up to this point. Raymond, of course, is trying to dethrone him as the champion. Now then, these two were in the middle of a very exciting match yesterday; however, time ran out on us and we were therefore unable to complete the match. So we will complete it right now as we open up the board behind me and get our two contestants, our studio audience and our home audience re-familiarized with the categories. (Board opens up and the categories are revealed) Our subjects are as follows: Democrats, Football, Broadway Musicals, Islands and The American Revolution. As usual, the first player to achieve a score of $1,000 will play our Face The Devil Round for a chance to win some additional prizes. Now, when we last left off, we had $200 on Ray's scoreboard and $700 on Michael's scoreboard. And if memory serves me correctly, Raymond was about to take his turn to pull the lever. So Ray, if you would be so kind as to pull on that lever for us, we will continue the match.

(Football, Football, Joker) Raymond, this could put you back in the game here. How do you want to play this?

If you answer this correctly, you'll trail Michael by only $100. Here is your question. In 1994 Cris Carter led the NFC in receptions while playing for which team?

That's right and you are now just $100 off the lead. Your turn now Michael, so pull the lever if you please

(Broadway Musicals, Football, Broadway Musicals) Well, you won't be able to win on this next question, but you can come close. What category would you like and for what amount?

Broadway Musicals for $200.

For a total score of $900, here is your question in Broadway Musicals. What musical tells the story of a fictional rock 'n' roll band fronted by a transgender woman and “internationally ignored song stylist” from East Berlin?

For $100, here is your question in football. The first night game in NFL history was played in what year?

1948?

|

I'm sorry, that is incorrect. Michael, you can pick up another $100 and the win if you can correctly tell me what year the NFL's first night game took place.

1942?

That too is incorrect. The NFL's first night game took place in 1929. All right, we're going to pause at this point for some commercials and when we return from the commercials, we will conclude the match. (Fade to commercial)

This'll bring you to $1,000 exactly if you correctly answer the following question in the category of Islands. On which island was Nelson Mandela imprisoned between 1964 and 1982?
