Hiya, Tony. I'm a journalism student hailing from the Chicago suburbs. I'm hoping to get into a career in radio after college. I run a board game club on my campus, and I'm also on the executive board of a club devoted to Doctor Who.

OK then... let's get to the game. And remember... we play the best 2 out of 3 games. Whoever wins both rounds will be playing the Money Cards including at least a shot at winning a brand new car. Round 1 now begins with our first question. *grabs card* David... It's almost back-to-school time... so we've asked 100 grade schoolers from New York City-- Are you looking forward to go back to school? How many of them say yes?

I don't think many kids would look forward to that, so I say a low number: 23

[DING]23 out of 100 say they're looking forward to go back to school. What do you think of that answer, Evan... higher or lower?

If we were talking high schoolers, I'd say higher in a heartbeat, because I definitely remember some of us being desperate to get back into the swing of things by the end of the summer.
But we're talking grade schoolers, so that changes it a bit. I remember really being annoyed by having to go back to school as a kid, but on the same token, I can see how some kids might be looking forward to going back. I think there'll be more of the first kind of kid than the second kind, so for this question, I'm gonna say LOWER.

[DING]If it's lower, you'll play your cards. If not, David will play his cards. And if one of you get the answer exactly, you'll receive a $1,000 bonus. David says 23 and Evan says it's lower... The actual number of grade schoolers say they're looking forward to go back to school is-- [DING-DING-DING, APPLAUSE]6. Evan is right... it is lower. The challenger will begin round 1 starting off with... ...a 6.

Oh! Uh... let's go with the odds and go HIGHER!

[AUDIENCE BOOS]The audience doesn't like your call, Evan. Let's see if the odds pay of for you. Higher than a 6... [BUZZER, AUDIENCE GROANS]It's a 3. You could have changed your 6 since you had won that question. Therefore, David has a free chance of calling the card... the bad news is that he must play on his base card-- ...a 5. Sorry, but you cannot change your 5 since you didn't win that question.

And we'll move the freeze bar for the champ as he's one card away from winning the first round of the match. Before I read the next question, we'll pause for a commercial break. More cards, cash, prizes, and surprises are coming right up when the civilian finale of Card Sharks returns following this commercial time out. Stick around, folks... *back to studio* [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Welcome back to Card Sharks. Today is the last day for our contestants before we have our celebs play in our final episode. Let's take a look at the board for a moment... At this very moment, our champion David needs one card to win the first game of the match while his opponent Evan is stuck with a 6 as his base card. Let's resume the first round with our next question. *grabs card* Evan... this question is for you and it involves 10 recent fathers. Gents... please come on over to the "Bidder's Row" area. [LAUGHTER, APPLAUSE]*all 10 men walk to the area* OK then... we've asked the 10 recent fathers to this question... Do you get jealous from the time your wife spends with the baby? How many of them say yes... they do get jealous when your wife spends time with the baby?

So I read an article recently about how dads don't get anywhere near as much time off for paternal leave as moms would for maternal leave. I'd have to imagine that might play into it a bit, but on the other hand, how much are these guys wanting to learn to do the things the baby's mother does? It could go either way, I think... but let's go a little below average and go for 4.

I don't think many fathers will get jealous about that. I'll say lower.

[DING]For those of you who wants to play along at home... please feel free to do so. Evan says 4 and David says it's lower... The actual number of recent fathers say they get jealous when their wives spend time with their babies is-- [DING-DING-DING, APPLAUSE]5 of them. Not lower... it is higher. Before Evan plays the cards, I have a question for our guest announcer. Marc... do you feel really jealous that your wife spends most of the time with the baby?
