Hunter: $27 Jay: $30 John: $26
You have $9,000 in cash and prizes in that one purchase, and a total of $14,800 so far today. We take the $9 off your score, and you're now $1 behind Hunter. Back with this.
1. Who was the first actor to pose in the buff for a Cosmopolitan centerfold? 2. What Italian entree's name translates literally as "cooking pot"? 3. What vegetable did George H.W. Bush announce he'd no longer eat in March 1990?

1. Who was the first actor to pose in the buff for a Cosmopolitan centerfold? (buzzcode: 45) *Hunter buzzes in (45, BULLSEYE!)*Hunter? Hunter: Burt ReynoldsAnd look what that got him eventually: four years on CBS. You're right for $5. (ding) Hunter: $32 Jay: $30 John: $26
2. What Italian entree's name translates literally as "cooking pot"? (buzzcode: 32) *Jay buzzes in (27)*Jay? Jay: LasagnaThat's exactly what it means. You now lead by $3. (ding) Hunter: $32 Jay: $35 John: $26
3. What vegetable did George H.W. Bush announce he'd no longer eat in March 1990? (buzzcode: 26) *John buzzes in (48 )*John? John: Broccoli, one of my favorites(I look at him with disbelief) You actually like broccoli? (ding) Hunter: $32 Jay: $35 John: $31
Well color me surprised. Talking about President H.W. Bush, he preferred Mexican and Chinese food. Hey, I like that too. We'll be back to a good match after these messages. (main theme to commercial)(cheers and applause) (fade to commercial)
(OK, imagine if you will that all the old stars have been taken out, and the new ones [including Tony and me] have been put in)
(fade in) (main theme closes, cheers and applause)Greg: Welcome back. It's Tuesday on NBC, and we have a very close match here. Hunter: $32 Jay: $35 John: $31
Yes, a very close match. $4, believe it or not, separates third from first. [FAME GAME]But that won't be the case for long because we've got a $15 Money Card being added to the board. Looking for a famous TV series. I am a television series based on the film and the novel of the same title. I am a police procedural set in the Southern United States. I dealt with a variety of issues, including racism, police brutality, drug abuse, rape, AIDS, incest, child abuse, anti-Semitism, government corruption, homophobia, and drunk driving. I had a lot of backstage drama in my first season, which was filmed in Hammond, Louisiana. My lead star was promised the head writing position of Story Editor, but scripts would come back marked, "FINAL NO REWRITES". They were often "recycled material from other crime shows", and often focused on grisly murders or crimes, not the lives of the "New South"-era characters. The second season was improved with filming relocated to Covington, Georgia. By season 4, my lead star took complete control of the show by firing almost the entire writing staff.(buzzcode and answer, please)

(he stops)Stop at $10! (fanfare)(the camera flashes between Jay and the $10 Money Card) (cheers and applause) We add the $10 to your score.... Hunter: $32 Jay: $45 John: $31
And you now have a $13 lead over Hunter. But, with a $50,000 CashCard coming up, it's still anyone's game. But first, these questions. 1. What female star of An Officer and a Gentleman once spent three months in the Israeli army? 2. What poison forced the makers of Tylenol to recall 31 million capsules? 3. A popular restaurant and arcade chain is Dave and what? 4. What Hanna-Barbera character was named after baseball umpire Augie Donatelli? 5. Give me the next line to this song. 'Cause, baby, now we got bad blood You know it used to be mad love So take a look what you've done

[CASHCARD]CashCard time. Jay, you are in the driver's seat for this one with $55, a $14 lead. You know how the game works. One of those suits has this prize.... (Kelly tries to get out of this car)Stacey: Jay, you could putt around California in this unique prize. This is the faithful reproduction of a Peel Trident, a two-seat, three-wheeled microcar originally built on England’s Isle of Man between 1965-1966. Measuring only 72” long x 42” wide, it is still one of the smallest cars in the world, placing its driver and a passenger just 12” from the ground. Manufactured in the UK using many of the same materials as the original, including its fiberglass body and steel frame, this model is updated with a 3 hp electric moped engine that provides a 28 mph maximum speed for two riders weighing a total of 300 lbs. It rolls on three 9”-diam. wheels with rubber tires—the rear wheel provides power while the driver steers the front wheels and stops with all-wheel brakes—also has a reverse gear, which the originals lacked. Furnished by Hammacher Schlemmer. It's normally priced at.....$25,000(audience cheers) Greg: And Jay, if that wasn't enough, one of those suits is the CashCard worth...... (I hold up the check) $50,000Fifty thousand dollars! (audience cheers) So, Jay.... you have a $14 lead. You would be behind by a dollar if you bought in. But, you could win a car or $50,000 in cash. What will you do?

(main theme closes, cheers and applause)(fade in) Oh, welcome back. During the break, Jay was trying to get into his brand new car, and a few of us in the studio planned a funeral in advance for NBC's fall lineup. Hunter: $37 Jay: $40 John: $41
John now has a dollar lead, but we have a $25 Money Card going up on the board. Here are some more questions. 1. What was the first American movie to center around Kung Fu? 2. What comic twosome were known as Bud and Lou to their friends? 3. What religious book was given to Pony Express riders?(buzzcodes and answers, please)

1. What was the first American movie to center around Kung Fu? (buzzcode: 23) *John buzzes in (38 )*John? John: Enter the DragonCo-produced and distributed by Warner Bros. You're right. (ding) Hunter: $37 Jay: $40 John: $46
And John expands his lead to $6. 2. What comic twosome were known as Bud and Lou to their friends? (buzzcode: 3) *Jay buzzes in (44)*Jay? Jay: Abbott and Costello(in a Costello impression) "Hey, Abbott!" You're right. (ding) Hunter: $37 Jay: $45 John: $46
I spoke too soon. 3. What religious book was given to Pony Express riders? (buzzcode: 89) *Hunter buzzes in (60)*Hunter? Hunter: The BibleYes, sir! (ding) Hunter: $42 Jay: $45 John: $46
And like that, $4 separate all three players. [FAME GAME]This is closer than the race for the Republican presidential nomination. If somebody wants to break out of the pack, a $25 Money Card would do it. Looking for a famous group. We are a set of siblings from Oakland, California that all share the same last name. We were encouraged to listen to and sing gospel music by our parents, who led the Church of God in Christ in West Oakland. When the youngest sister brought home a copy of the Elvis Presley record "All Shook Up", we were all surprised that our mother allowed her to play it, until discovering that she'd been pacified by the song "Crying in the Chapel" on the "B" side of the record. Two of us started an act, and later, another joined us to form a trio. We started performing and provided backing vocals for artists such as Grace Slick, Sylvester James, Boz Scaggs and Elvin Bishop, and it was while supporting Bishop at a nightclub appearance in 1971, that we were signed to a recording contract with Atlantic Records. The oldest sister finally joined us in 1972. Upon signing, we agreed that we did not want to follow the current trend of pop music but wanted to create an original sound that combined jazz music, jazz singing, and be-bop music. We made our television debut performance at the Troubadour nightclub in Los Angeles on The Helen Reddy Show. Our first single from our first album, "Yes We Can Can", reached number 11 on the pop charts, and would go on to establish itself as an R&B classic. Thanks to a country song on our second album, we achieved the singular distinction of becoming the first black female singers to perform at the Grand Ole Opry.(buzzcode and answer, please)
