Okay, my name is Kevin and I'm an accountant from Long Island. In my spare time, I like video games, game shows and writing fanfiction.

Well it's a wide range of games, but I've always had a special place in my heart for the SNES JRPG's like Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy, even some lesser known titles like Breath of Fire and Illusion of Gaia.

Final Fantasy I've heard of, but not Illusion of Gala. Sounds like you enjoy some of the more obscure titles. Good luck to you John as you try to make it three in a row. Players, as you know, the object of the game is to work your way across a single row of playing cards while predicting whether the next card in line will be higher or lower than the preceding card. We also have prize cards hidden in the decks and if you uncover one of those, that prize will go into your bank and if you win the round in which that prize is uncovered, then you win the prize. First one to win two rounds goes to the Money Cards for a shot at over $75,000 as well as a new car. Our first question of the day goes to the champion, and it involves our ten teenagers that are in Contestants Row. Stand up please, guys. (The teens stand up) These kids have been here with us all week participating in these surveys and they've all done a terrific job. Before the show, we asked these ten teenagers if they've ever taken the blame for a mistake someone else made. John, how many of them said that they have taken the blame for a mistake someone else made?

I don't like assuming, but a lot more teens are more than likely to pass blame onto someone else, so I'll say about 5 would take the blame.

John says 5 of them would take the blame for someone else's mistake. (ding) Kevin, is the actual number higher or lower than five?

That's really hard. It seems like they would rather avoid taking the fall. I probably would have done that if I was omit their shoes. I'll say it's lower than five.

Kevin says it's lower. (ding) The actual number of these teens who said that they have taken the blame for someone else's mistake is: 0. (ding ding ding) Not a single one of them has taken responsibility for someone else's error. That shows me that all of you are honest when it comes to mistakes, so good for you guys. All right Kevin, you're going to the cards first today and you're starting off with.................a five (5C). Play it or change it?

Change it!

Post by GameShowNetwork on Jul 14, 2015 22:02:44 GMT -5
He wants to change the five, so we shall do exactly that. The five is now..........................a three (3H)! That's better. How do you want to call the three, Kevin?

Higher!

Higher than a three........................an eight (8C). Play on or freeze, Kevin?

I'll freeze!

He is going to freeze on the eight. (Freeze bar goes on Kevin's eight; CS 78 theme) And we will take a quick time out for these commercial messages. We'll return after this. (Fade to commercial)

(Back to the studio)We're back on Card Sharks, everyone. Kevin has a one card lead as we head to question two. (Lights suddenly go out) Okay, what's going on? Did you guys backstage plan something that I don't know about? (Lights then come back on as cast and crew members roll a cake on stage) Card Sharks staff (singing): Happy birthday to you Happy birthday to you Happy birthday to Mark Happy birthday to you (audience applauds) Me: Well now I see why the lights went off for a bit. This must be my birthday surprise from all of the crew here on the show. Rich: That's exactly what it is, Mark. Me: Well thank you all very much. We'll eat the cake later because right now, we have a match to get through. (Cake is taken off stage) Now that that's out of the way, let's get to the next question. We surveyed 100 single women and asked them "Have you ever lost a man because you said "yes" too quickly?". Kevin, how many of them have lost a man because they said yes too quickly?

That wouldn't surprise me. Women and men like to rush into things but it backfires big time on them. I'll say it's a high number: 75.

75 of them have lost a man by saying yes too quickly according to Kevin. (ding) John, is the actual number higher or lower than 75?

John says it's higher than 75. (ding) The actual number of single women who have lost a man by saying yes too fast is........................82 of them. (ding ding ding) It is indeed higher, and you get a crack at it now John. Let's see your first card. (John's first card shows up) And it is a four (4C). Play it or change it?

Unfortunately, that 9 seems dicey, so I'll freeze.

Very well, let's put the freeze bar over your nine. (Freeze bar goes on John's nine) And we will go to our next question, which is for John. We surveyed 100 third grade girls and we asked them "Have you ever lied to your parents and gotten away with it?". John, how many of them said that they have gotten away with lying to their parents?

Well, lying is a talent given to a few, and at that age, covering all your bases is not something easy to accomplish, so I'm going to say 38 ever really got scot-free with the deed .

John says 38 of them have gotten away with lying. (ding) Kevin, is the actual number higher or lower than 38?

Given that they're girls, I say they're better at lying because who would believe a boy at their age? It has to be higher.
