You are correct! (applause) And that ain't no bull either! So another $100 for that correct answer Nathan. You need a 5, a 6 or a 7 to win, anything more than a 7 and game 1 goes to our champion. Lynn, please... A deuce of Spaces, now brings you up to 16. Another correct answer, followed by a 3, 4 or a 5 will win this first game for you Nathan. And here is your next question Nathan... WHAT IS THE ONE WORD NAME OF THE ARTIST WHO RECORDED SUCH HITS AS "PURPLE RAIN" AND "1999"?

Indeed it was Prince, right for another $100. And now Nathan wants to see NO Royalty here. In fact, he wants, he NEEDS a 3, a 4 or a 5 for game #1. Lynn? picosong.com/fTwB/Sorry Nathan, that's too much! And the game goes to champion Mark Liotta! picosong.com/3zeF/Mark, your 18 was a strong enough hand to win. $900 for that, plus the lamps valued at $475, all yours to keep, so far tonight, $1,575 cash and prizes! (applause) The lead in the match, and when we return, a brand NEW version of "Beat the Dealer". We'll see how Mark fares, right after this!

(fade in to applause) (chuckling) Hi there! We're back and ready to play a brand NEW version of "Beat the Dealer" with our game #1 winner and our current champion Mark Liotta. Mark, starting tonight, the game will have some differences than previously. First of all, you are still trying to beat the dealer. And if you do so, you will win the Beat the Dealer jackpot which as you can see is $2,500. Each night it is not won, it will grow by $500 until it is won. In this game, the Dealer's hand every night will be the same, 17... (ding) Mark, you will attempt to form a hand totaling 18, but not going over 21 in order to win. Shuffled up behind the 9 numbers we have point cards, ranging from 2 all the way up to 7. If you can accumulate 18, 19, 20 or 21 points using any combination of those cards, you will win $2,500. There is another way you can win $2,500 as well. If you uncover our two logo cards, namely the Jack of Hearts and Ace of Spades. Get those two and you'll win also. Neither the Jack of Hearts nor the Ace of Spades may be combined with the point cards. One card is hiding that Jolly Gambit Jester who likes to taunt our contestants. If at any time you select that, the game ends. No ties here either anymore, you either Beat the Dealer and win $2,500, or you don't beat the dealer and win $0. Of course if your point cards total more than 21, you will be over and lose too. Mark, if you have no further questions, suppose you call out a couple of numbers to get us started please, and good luck!

Let's see what is lurking first of all, behind the number 3... (ding) OH NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No... Well folks, how do you like our new and improved game thus far?!?! To use a very outdated phrase, Gee willikers! Found that jester on the first pick. Not that this is of any consolation, but of the 60 or so mock trial games we did of this, that Jester was picked first at least three or four times as well! Let's look at the rest of the board, show you where everything was at... #1 and #8 would have been an instant winning combination for you there Mark. Well, the good news, tomorrow night, somebody will be playing this game for $3,000. Mark you still have the lead in the match, and everything you've won up until now is yours. When we return, we'll see if Nathan can force a tie-breaker or if Mark will win his second match and go on to the Gambit Board for a chance at a brand new Cadillac and maybe even one MILLION dollars! Lots more excitement, so please stay tuned!

Lynn will put the Freeze Bar up there for you Nathan. Also, our apologies players, Mark, I forgot to instruct Lynn to give you a Power Marker. The winner of Game #1 of the match, as well as game 2 receives a power marker. They can only be used if you receive a card that would put you over 21. If that happens, that card is discarded, and the next card is given to you immediately instead. Mark, you'll need 18 or more, without going over 21, to win game #2 and your second match. You will need at least 2 more cards to do so. As always, you must come up with correct answers to earn cards. One incorrect answer, one missed deadline (48 hours), or going over 21 will result in Nathan winning game 2 and forcing our one card tie-breaker. First question to you Mark. TRUE OR FALSE? THE PHILOSOPHER ARISTOTLE QUESTIONED WHY A PERSON IS UNABLE TO TICKLE THEMSELVES.

Post by billmcdee on Jul 18, 2015 6:08:31 GMT -5
Oddly enough, it was True! (buzzer) Mark I am sorry, Nathan, congratulations on winning game #2! picosong.com/3zeF/Mark, $75 to you as we pay $25 per point for your 3. Nathan, $850 plus the Armoire, you now have a grand total of $2,975 so far, Mark $1,650 so far. Now it's the one card tie-breaker game. Each of you will be paid $100 times the value of the card you end up with. Nathan, Lynn has verified that the next two cards in the deck are indeed different values. You will get to choose if you want to keep the first card or the second. Once that decision is made the cards will be dealt, and Lynn will reveal them one at a time. The player with the higher card will win the match, another lovely prize, and more important, go to the Gambit Board to win thousands of dollars more, plus the possibility of a new automobile, oh and not to mention one MILLION dollars!!! So a very big decision here Nathan. Do you want the first card or the second card? Which ever one you do not take will be given to Mark.

Nathan will take the first card Lynn, leaving the second card for Mark. Now, please reveal Nathan's card... It's a 7 of hearts. 7 cards will beat it, 5 won't. Mark, if your card is an 8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen, King or Ace, you will win your second match here on Gambit P.M., otherwise, Nathan Diniz will be crowned the new champion. Lynn, please turn over Mark's card... Now! No! It's not enough, Nathan is our new champion!!! picosong.com/3zeF/Mark, another $300 in cash for that 3, and we'll chat with you again in just a moment. Nathan, your instincts proved well there, $700 for that 7, plus, for winning tonight's match, you've also now won THIS lovely prize, Frank? picosong.com/9LQ9/Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): It's a stunning diamond pendant! Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): For the lady, this vivid blue sapphire is bordered by a pave cushion-shaped diamond halo to form this pendant. A timeless style that exhibits stunning color, this is a piece to be treasured through the generations, furnished by Ritani... Retail value... $4,625! Okay Bill! (cheers & applause) And with that Nathan, you are already winning a cash and prize total of... $8,300! (applause) And this may only be the beginning! We'll soon find out. Mark, in your two nights here with us, you picked up a camcorder, an indoor waterfall, a fun jukebox, and tonight those decorative lamps, prizes totaling $9,175, plus a cash total of $25,825, which gives you a very nice round total of... Thirty-Five Thousand dollars in cash and prizes!!! (applause) Thank you for being with us Mark, and many happy returns of the day to you! Mark Liotta everybody! (applause) When we return, Nathan will be playing one hand of blackjack against the house, and depending on how it goes, he could wind up winning a new Cadillac plus one MILLION dollars in cash! Be sure to join us for that, right after these words of interest!

Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): Plus an additional chance to win this… Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): It's the 2016 Cadillac XTS Sedan… Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): From its specious interior and abundant safety technologies to its smooth, polished driving experience and Cadillac CUE interface, the XTS ushers in new standards with every detail. Retail value… $50,000! Okay Bill! We will stake the Gambit Board Jackpot with $5,000... (ding) And that of course can, and probably will grow higher as you select numbers off of our game board. First we're going to put you to work once again Nathan. Lynn has a brand new deck of 52 freshly shuffled cards for our Gambit Board round. Lynn, please break the seal on that deck at this time... Nathan, please select a number higher than 0 but lower than 52. This will represent how deeply into the deck you wish to cut the cards. With every number you select from our Gambit Board, you'll increase the Gambit Board Jackpot. In order to win it, you must beat the house. Once you reach a score of 12 or higher, you'll have the option to freeze or continue. You have one Power Marker which you can use should you receive a card that would put you over 21. After you tell me how deeply into the deck you wish to cut the cards Nathan, I will explain more.

I had a feeling I'd win the tiebreaker!!!! Anyway, how about 26
|
|
|
Post by billmcdee on Jul 18, 2015 17:14:23 GMT -5
26, half way into the deck, very well.
Any 21 will win for you automatically, regardless of what the House's up card is.
After you select your first number off the Gambit Board, and after Lynn deals you your first card, she will deal an up card for the house.
The house will not draw any more cards until you have frozen.
If you get 21, you will automatically win, and in doing so, you MIGHT qualify for $1,000,000, here's how.
I want you to predict what one of your cards will be during this game Nathan. If you have that card in your hand, and you score exactly 21, you will then have a 1 in 6 chance at ONE MILLION DOLLARS!
So tell me, which card do you believe you'll end up with in your hand? I need a card name (Ace, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen or King) and a suit (Hearts, Clubs, Diamonds or Spades)

Ace of Diamonds

|
Post by billmcdee on Jul 19, 2015 8:13:34 GMT -5
Very well Nathan, that Ace of Diamonds is now recorded. If you get 21 in any combination, and the Ace of Diamonds is part of that combination, you will have a 1 in 6 chance at winning ONE MILLION dollars! Right now, you're trying to win the Gambit Board Jackpot which is $5,000 and will increase right now as you select one of 21 numbers on our big board. Which number do you select first Nathan?
|
|
|
Post by nathandiniz on Jul 19, 2015 9:42:44 GMT -5
First number is 11, and was selected via special mathematical formula
|
|
|
Post by billmcdee on Jul 19, 2015 11:19:52 GMT -5
Let's hope the formula proves profitable! Number 11... (ding) $1,000. Brings the jackpot up to $6,000 if you should beat the house. We want an Ace of Diamonds here and now Lynn... (groans in the audience) Well that's not necessarily the worst news. A lot of low cards means more money off of the Gambit Board, and also improves Nathan's chances of perhaps drawing that Ace of Diamonds. Lynn will now deal an up card for the house. We do NOT want it to be an Ace, or a good card for that matter, and we especially do not want it to be an Ace of Diamonds. Lynn, what's the up card for the house this evening? A 4 of Spades, that's not a good card at all for the House! Nathan, which number do you select next?
