The new wave band who had recorded the 1978 album "Parallel Lines" was named... ...BLONDIE.(Buzzer)So that means circle gets the square and we have a tie game! (Winning Bell Sounds, Win Cue, Cheers and Applause)
(Time Up Bell Rings)That sound of the bell means the game is over. And since Mark and Dylan are tied at $5,000 all, we're gonna go into SUDDEN DEATH. One question will decide who will be playing the Super Match. Before we get to that, I have the Silver Dollar Susan B. Anthony coin. And Dylan... you get to call heads or tails since Mark had went first in the third round. If you make the right call, you get to pick a square in Sudden Death. If wrong, Mark will select a square. So what will it be... heads or tails?

*flips coin, lands on palm and pats down* It's tails. Mark... since you've won the coin toss, please pick a square.

(Cheers and Applause)This is it, folks... if Mark get this question right, he'll remain as the champion and play for the $100,000 Super Match. If not... then Dylan becomes our new champion and the right to play the Super Match. Greg Palmer... here comes this tie breaking question. What European country ruled the Philippine Islands as a colony before 1898?

Boy, it's all on me, isn't it?
Well, let's see here. The current currency of the Phillipines is the peso. That evolved from the peseta, and the only country I can think of that uses the peseta is Spain. So, that's my answer.

Mark... this is for the win. Greg says the answer is Spain. Do you agree or disagree?

Mark Liotta... ...it was Spain. Mark is still our champion with $5,250! (Winning Bell Sounds, Win Cue, Cheers and Applause, Commercial Cue)Mark, you may now exit the desk and meet Doug as we set things up for your shot at the big money. Dylan... you were a terrific player and a worthy opponent. $5,000 for playing The Hollywood Squares, including the $1,000 for playing Match Game... In addition to some parting gifts, you'll be leaving us here with an all cash total of-- $6,000. Give it up for Dylan Downs, everyone... (Cheers and Applause)Coming up next, our champion Mark Liotta will try his luck at winning the big one. We'll return with Doug Morris as Mark will be going for $100,000 in the Super Match right after this. Don't go away, folks... (Cheering, Applause Continues...)*fade to commercial* ===========================================================================================================================

Thanks a bunch, Cameron. Mark, congratulations. You had to sweat out a tie-breaker to get here. Now let's see you top off that exciting win with $100,000 here at the Super Match. We asked a bunch of folks online for their best response to this. Okay, Earl, slide it. (ding)PUBLIC BLANK. Mark, if you match the most popular answer in the survey... (ding)...you win $2000 and you're that much closer to the hundred grand. Match the second most popular answer... (ding)...and you'll pocket another thousand dollars. Third most popular... (ding)...pays $500. If your answer doesn't match anything in the top three, you'll pick up $250 as a consolation prize. One at a time, Mark, please call upon three stars for their thoughts on how you should fill in that blank.

All right, Darion. How do you fill in PUBLIC BLANK? Since Bill took my answer, the only thing I can think of is Public Nudity back to Fear Factor.

You may take any of there ideas or go with one on your own.

Those are all good answers, but I think I will go on my own this time. My reasoning for this is because I used to watch a lot of PBS growing up. And their lineup back then included one of the best game shows ever made, Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego?. Therefore, the answer I choose is Public Broadcasting

I don't believe that's ever happened before. Choosing your own answer.... I like that.

(scattered groans from the crowd) Not a lot of support from the audience, Mark. But it's your decision. Let's see if Public Broadcasting ranks in the top three -- and if so, where? First, we begin at the bottom and reveal the $500 response. (ding)Public outcry. Nobody said that. Let's see if enough people said Public Broadcasting to put $1000 in your pocket. (ding)Public *enemy*. There was Tony's answer. Well -- cross the fingers and the toes because we're about to see the $2000 answer. Slide the big one, Earl, please. (buzz; groans from the crowd)Public restroom or bathroom. "Bathroom" would've matched with "restroom" or the other way around for $2000. Well -- sorry that didn't work out. But we still play the Head-to-Head Match. And we do so by giving you $250. (ding)We also seed the bank with $250. You could be playing for more than $10,000 and here's how. Four of our stars have been randomly assigned the number 20, four others a 30 and one has the 50. Pick a star to team up with -- and the $250 will be multiplied by his number to determine the value of the Head-to-Head Match question. Who do you choose?
