All right, it's Kori vs. John. Let's begin the show right now, then. As always, deadlines are 48 hours and off we go. (CS 1978 theme) Rich: A two or three Will put you ahead But get a seven or eight And you'll be seeing red On.................Card Sharks! And here's the host of Card Sharks, Mark Liotta! (I enter the stage to a tremendous applause from the audience) Me: Thank you Rich. Thanks, everyone. (Theme fades out) Welcome to Card Sharks. The only game on television where you can win lots of cash if you play your cards right. So let's go ahead and meet the two individuals who are going to be trying to win some cash today. (Kori and John run to their podiums) All right, we have Kori Planston in the blue position today. Welcome to the show, Kori. (audience applauds Kori) Please tell the fine folks what you do.

At this point, nothing official, but I do financial research mostly during the day and in my spare time, I play classic Nintendo 64 video games.

So you're a retro gamer, eh? Well we're glad to have you aboard here, Kori. In order to become champion, though, you'll have to dethrone John Lopez. John, any plans yet for all the money you won yesterday?

Well if you recall, you won $26,412 yesterday so I'm sure you'll think of something to do with all of that. Let's go to work, players. First two win two games wins the match and plays for the big money as well as a brand new car. Remember that we also have some prize cards hidden in the deck, and if you uncover one of those, we put the prize into your bank and it will become yours if you win the round. John, this first question is for you and it involves our ten teenagers that have been with us all week so far. John, before the show, we asked these ten teenagers if they've ever had to deal with peer pressure. John, how many of them said that they have had to deal with peer pressure?

Having been a teenager myself, peer pressure has run rampant, I'm going to say 8

John says 8 out of 10 have had to deal with peer pressure. (ding) Kori, do you think the actual number is higher or lower than 8?

That's a very good guess... but I think it'll be higher yet.

Kori says it's higher. (ding) Remember that if one of you should get a survey answer exactly right at any point, you get a $1,000 bonus. The actual number of these teenagers who said that they have had to deal with peer pressure is: all 10 of them. (ding ding ding) It is in fact higher. Just for the record, I never had to deal with any peer pressure myself when I was a teen. All right Kori, your first card is..................a six (6C). Play off the six or change it?

He says higher than a six................................a three (3C; buzzer). Over I go to John, and John's first card is...............................a five (5D). How do you want to call the five, John?

He is going to freeze on the nine. (Freeze bar goes on John's nine; Theme starts) And on that note, we will pause for some commercials. We'll be back, though. (Fade to commercial)

(Back to the studio) And we're back with some more Card Sharks. We will pick up game number one with a question for Kori. We surveyed 100 business owners and we asked them "If the current minimum wage were to be increased, would your business be affected?". Kori, how many of them said that a minimum wage increase would affect their business?

I'd figure that number to be incredibly high, especially if a lot of mom & pop business owners were surveyed, which is likely. They have to pay their employees quite a bit more, therefore having to raise prices on their products, and their profits might get hurt depending on how loyal their customers are to their business... I'd say 91, at least.

Kori says that 91 of them would be affected by a minimum wage increase. (ding) John, do you think the actual number is higher or lower than 91?

John says that it's higher. (ding) The actual number of business owners who said that a minimum wage increase would affect their business is: 80 of them. (ding ding ding) It's lower, not higher. Kori, back over to your cards and you still have the six. Play it or change it?

The man's a gambler, folks. He's chancing it by going higher than an eight.............................a ten (10C). Two cards to go, Kori. Continue or freeze?

Guess I'll freeze on the ten.

He's freezing on the ten. (Freeze bar goes on Kori's ten) That puts Kori two cards away from winning the game as we go to another question. We surveyed 100 first grade boys and we asked them "If you wanted to be a professional athlete in only one sport, which one would it be?". John, how many of them said that they would want to be a professional baseball player?
