Taboo (TEST) Thoughts/ Suggestions please

I have been going back and forth on if I wanted to give TABOO a try..  I have decided to give it a shot.

Let me explain what TABOO IS. 


The objective of TABOO is for a player to have their partners guess the word on the player's card without using the word itself or five additional words listed on the card.  



I will need two Celebrity's  and two players please..     

When you sign up, please let me know if you want to be a Celebrity or a player..  

Once I get 4 people we will start.

I would love to. I have to warn you though, I haven't played Taboo in ages. Last time I played, someone thought I was cheating when clearly I wasn't.

Well I've been a life long game show fan, some of my earliest memories are from the very early 1970s watching them with my parents and remembering how enamored I was with the genre.

I am 57, but closer to 58 years young and love board games, card games, casino gambling, and my latest game addiction, along with my wife and son, is a very fun dice game called Farkle.  It was the best $4 I ever spent!

With everything going up in price , $ 4 for a dice game is not to bad.. I remember when I was younger My dad and I would play Battleship.. Ah memories.

Let me explain the rules

Hello and welcome to the a test episode of TABOO

The objective of TABOO is for a player to have their partner to guess the word on the player's card without using the word itself or five additional words listed on the card.



For example let me show you a example

For example if the clue is MJ you could say something like

—He was on the 1992 USA Dream team

—He was in Space Jam with Bugs Bunny

You can not say

—--He played for the Chicago Bulls

—-He wore # 23 while playing basketball



There will be a total of two halves with 3 sections in each half with a total of six clues.. (Just like Pyramid)

In the first half, each word will be worth 1 point. In the second half , each word will be worth 2 pts.

The team with the most points after two rounds wins the game and will move on to the bonus round.

In Round 1 the celb will give. In Round Two the Player will give.. In Round Three ya will decide who will give and receive..

We will not change partners after the first half.


I will PM the clues to the giver.

UPDATE ON RULES


I have decide once the clue giver gets their CARD in their in box, they can post all 6 CLUES (to their receiver ) in the same post. But please make sure you number them with a space in between them

Then once the clue giver post all six clues, the receiver can post all their answers in the same post.

The clue giver is allowed 2 clues (As many words as you want with out saying any of the words on the card)

The receiver is allowed 2 guesses per clue..   


The clue receiver will have 48 hours (From the time the receiver posts their clues) to post their answer to all 6 clues to the forum..

I will try and do an update before I go to work and I will try and update when I get in from work..  Along with a time to reply by.. 

You can post your 6 answers at the same time and in the same thread

But please # your  answers and please put a space in between your answers

He has PM his clues to me.. He asked me to look over them to make sure they were OK.. (Which is fine by me) Once he posts his clues in the forum, Kevin will have 48 to give your answers.
