We're all locked and loaded and ready for episode 12 of "Gambit P.M." I have to admit, that last episode, with game #2 was about the most fun I've had hosting a net game during my 8 year "career".
Matt Ringgenberg is the current champion going for his second victory.
James Greek, I have not, as yet, created or come up with a third net game to host. Since you were the last "Three on a Match" champion, I'll ask you if you'd like to participate against Matt during this episode?

That's me! A very pleasant good evening everybody and welcome to another exciting installment of Gambit after dark. We call it Gambit P.M. and if you missed our last program, you missed quite a doozy to say the least. (walking over to my podium) After exhausting nearly half the deck of our 52 card deck, we finally crowned a new champion on our last program. He's back tonight to face a new challenger and try to get a second crack at that Gambit Board as well as a new car plus tens of thousands of dollars in cash! As always, here to introduce tonight's players is our lovely dealer, and she's also my lovely niece, Lynn Jennings! (applause) Good evening sweetie! Good evening Uncle Bill! Good evening everyone! Bill (off camera): Lynn, would you please introduce us to our new challenger and our returning champion? Lynn: Glad to Uncle Bill... picosong.com/q789/Lynn: Tonight's challenger hails from the deep south, he has a fondness for music and girls, please welcome James Greek. (applause) Lynn: And our returning champion is a supermarket clerk from Iowa and is also a cheerleader for Special Olympics, back with $13,250 in cash and prizes, Matt Ringgenberg! (applause) Lynn: Contestants, good evening and good luck! James, welcome to our program. Lynn's going to break the seal on a brand new deck of 52 playing cards. I will ask you at this time to tell us how deeply you wish to cut the deck. Select any number higher than 0 but lower than 52. James, you have a fondness for music? Any particular artists, bands or genres that you prefer?

I am definitely fond of popular music from that era as well James!
Thank you for cutting the cards and good luck to you this evening.
Matt Ringgenberg, a grocery store clerk from Iowa is back to try for his second victory this evening.
That was quite an epic battle you had against Frank last night, wasn't it Matt? How were you feeling once you ended up winning that very long, drawn out match?

Unfortunately, in spite of that very difficult match, the Gambit Board and Car Game didn't really pay off as well as you would have liked, however this is a new day, and of course anything can happen, and often does here on Gambit P.M. Matt, good luck going for win number 2 tonight. Object of the game is for our players to come as close to 21 as possible without going over. If you go over, you lose. The winner of the first game of the match will earn the right to play "Beat the Dealer" for some bonus cash, and will win this prize, Frank? picosong.com/9LQ9/Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): It's an exercycle. Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): From Schwinn, this exercycle features 18 workout programs & 16 levels of resistanceIntegrated reading rack, water bottle holder, multicolor backlit LCD & transport wheels BioFit™ comfort. Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): Retail value, $700. Back to you Bill! (applause) It takes 2 out of 3 games to win a match players, and to the winner of each of the first two games we will pay $50 multiplied by your winning score, with a house minimum of $500 being awarded for a victory. If however either of you scores exactly 21, you automatically win the game and the Any 21 Jackpot. This thing hasn't been hit in a while now so it is up to... (CLANG) $2,250! And if you get 21 in just 2 cards, we pay you double, or... CLANG CLANG $4,500! We show you the first card at the start of Game 1 and Game 2... Lynn, what is the first card tonight? For an 8 of Hearts players... A BABY KANGAROO IS KNOWN BY WHAT NAME? James, you stopped the dice on 8, a higher number than Matt's 6, so you get to answer the question. A correct answer will earn you $100 and control of the 8. Either an incorrect answer or a missed deadline (48 hours) will score Matt $100 and give him control over the 8. James, please give me your answer and also tell me if you wish to keep that 8 or pass it to your opponent.

Joey is indeed correct for $100! For the remainder of the game, we will not show you the card until after its fate has been decided. Next question... THIS LEGENDARY ACTOR, FAMOUS FOR HIS WESTERNS AND WAR MOVIES WAS NICKNAMED "THE DUKE". WHAT WAS THIS ACTOR'S LAST NAME? James, it's you again sir.

Yes indeedy, the late, great John Wayne is right James! (applause) And the less said about his son Patrick's hosting gig of the 1990-91 "Tic Tac Dough", the better, although there were parts of that show that I DID in fact enjoy! James, the next card is yours to do with as you will. Do you wish to keep it, or give it to Matt?

Very well James, 18 is a pretty good score in this game. If it holds up, you will win game #1, the exercycle, along with $900 in cash. Matt, you'll need 19 or better to win. You must come up with correct answers to earn cards. One incorrect answer or one missed deadline (48 hours) and James will win game #1 by default, okay? First question for Matt's first card and his first $100 bill... WHAT NEMESIS OF BUGS BUNNY HAD A SPEECH IMPEDIMENT WHICH WOULD MAKE HIM SAY "I'M HUNTING WABBITS!"

Is right again! (applause) You'll win game #1 Matt if the next card is a 10, Jack, Queen, King or Ace. Lynn, for the win? That'll do it! picosong.com/3zeF/So game 1 of this best 2 out of 3 match goes to our champion. $1,000 for winning with a 20, plus the exercycle valued at $700, a total thus far in cash and prizes of $1,900. In a few moments Matt will play one hand of blackjack against Lynn to try to win some bonus cash. James, the bad news is Matt won, but the good news is, since you did not go over 21, we pay off at $25 per point for that 18, so that gives you another $450, and an all cash total so far of $650. And there are still 2 more games left to be played, and many a comeback has been made in the brief history of our program, so fear not! After this brief time out, Matt will take on Lynn playing "Beat the Dealer". Back after this!

(Looking up and toward my left, then referencing the change made to my little moon) I have the feeling I'm being watched! (chuckles from the audience) And speaking of watching... If you love all the fun and excitement here on Gambit P.M., be sure to tune in every weekday morning here on CBS to watch my very good friend Tony Lane as he hosts the daytime version of Gambit. Lots of fun, prizes and surprises galore! And if you love that card game, you'll also love seeing Tony as he pulls double duty hosting the classic game of highs and lows, "Card Sharks". Also, be sure to check out one of the most fun and amusing games around by joining Greg Palmer and his faithful sidekick Wally as they present to you On A Roll. Lots of tension and excitement where one correct puzzle solve and lucky rolls of the dice can lead to over $100,000 in cash, plus a new automobile! And look for me too now on CBS Daytime as Now You See It, an old classic from the mid 1970s and late 1980s is back with a lot of hide and seek fun! Last but not least, the venerable staple of the CBS Daytime lineup, a show that later this year will be celebrating its 44th season, The Price is Right! All of this and more on CBS Daytime! (applause) Matt Ringgenberg, for the second night in a row you are going to play one hand of Blackjack against our lovely dealer Lynn. The remaining cards in the same deck we played game number one with are still in play. Lynn will begin dealing you cards to form your hand. Once you reach a score of twelve or higher, I will ask you if you wish to freeze or continue. If you continue and the next card you draw puts you over 21, you lose. If the next card you draw gives you exactly 21, then you will win the Beat the Dealer jackpot which tonight is worth… (DING) Two-Thousand Five-Hundred Dollars! If the jackpot is not won, we will add $500 to it for our next program. Once you freeze, Lynn will begin to draw cards to form her hand. Lynn must hit on any hand totalling 16 and below. Lynn must freeze on any hand totalling 17 and above. In the event you and Lynn should tie, you won't win the jackpot, but you will still receive one-thousand dollars, and the jackpot will still grow by $500 for our next program. I do wish to point out that on our last show, we began something new. To the winner of each of the first two games of the match, a power marker is given. Matt, that power marker will be presented to you at this time. Power markers can only be used if you receive a card that puts you over 21. You may lose it here if you receive a card that puts you over 21. If so, you will be dealt another card immediately. If you're able to not have to use it here, you may carry it over and use it during game 2 of the match. If you have any left after the match, they can be carried over to the Gambit Board, where they could indeed prove quite invaluable! Okay Lynn, let's begin to deal cards to Matt to form his hand. A 5 to begin. Followed by... (moans and groans in the audience) Hmm a 7, giving you a twelve... Do you wish to freeze or continue Matt, hoping that the next card is anything but a ten or a face card?

Now to see if that 20 holds up. If nothing else, you held onto your power marker! Lynn, your first card please... A 5 as well! We know she'll need to draw at least 2 more cards. Next one is... A KING! That's great news for you Matt! Let's hope for another biggy here. Lynn? (groans in the audience) Next card Lynn, as she's required to draw on 16 or less... TOO MUCH!!! picosong.com/fTwB/And Matt has just BEAT THE DEALER!!! picosong.com/3zeF/It's amazing as often as we've had Beat the Dealer wins, I think this makes 10 out of 12 if I'm not mistaken, we can't seem to get the same good fortune when we're at that Gambit Board! Perhaps tonight will prove differently! Matt once more our congratulations! We'll take another time out, then bring James back and resume our match, right after these messages!
