Many months have passed and we are now back with the third episode of the 1975 edition of Wheel of Fortune! On the last episode, Kevin Kolsen (koopakid17 ) won $6,125 in merchandise, so he's our returning champion. Bryan Law (Bryan ) had requested a spot for the third episode, a long time ago, so he'll also have a spot. So, we just need one other contestant for our game!
Since it's been a few months, here's a lengthy rundown of the rules and whatnot...
Main Game:
-Top dollar values are $500, $750 and $1,000.
-Games will have either three or four rounds. If a game has a fourth round, it'll be played for a gift certificate (regardless of whether it starts as a speed-up or not)
-The house minimum for solving a puzzle is $100.
-The Buy A Vowel wedge is on the wheel. If you land on it and have $250, you must call a vowel. If you don't have $250 your turn is lost. If no vowels remain, you'll get to spin again.
-There is no bonus round. Whoever has the highest at the end of the game will come back tomorrow.
Speed-Up Round:
-It's possible for a game to end without a speed-up round.
-During the speed-up round, contestants may not call vowels at all. (This rule will be changed sometime down the road.)
-If a speed-up occurs during round 3, the contestant who solves the puzzle will go shopping.
Shopping:
-After a contestant solves a puzzle, they'll have the right to spend their money on some merchandise.
-A contestant may choose to place any or all of their money "On Account." However, any money that is put on account can be lost to a Bankrupt and the contestant must win another round before they use that money to shop.
-Contestants also have the option to put any remaining money on a gift certificate (since this was an option as early as July of 1975).
Returning Champions:
-May stay on for 5 games.
-No winnings limit.
Other Notes:
-I will use random.org to determine the spins and also what podium the contestants will stand at.
-As the series goes on, some changes will occur.
-All deadlines are 48 hours.
-Due to a few reasons, this series will mostly be text-based (the only exceptions being the wheels and some of the images used for the intro and credits).
For those that want to read/see them, here are the first two episodes of this net game. (here and here)
