Color My World. Let's hope there's a lot of coin there. (audience cheers)Eight large. I'd say that's a lot of coin. Here's the question. This Swiss group had a big hit in the mid 1980s with "Oh Yeah". Name the group.

Ohhhhh -- yeahhhh -- Yello is right. (audience cheers)$8000 plus the value of the card you collect in thousands of dollars. Let's see if you want the card behind the eight large. Niner. Okay, you'd start your hand with a 9 -- and you'd have $17,000 in your stash of cash. Or you may opt for the top card from Jackie. What's your choice? (audience shouts suggestions)

Okay, we say goodbye to the 9 and hello to what, from Jackie? (Jackie lifts top card) (audience cheers)A 10! Sweet. Just need an ace and another 10 and you're home free. But watch out for the pesky jokers. Because of the jokers, you may freeze and keep $18,000 -- or let it ride and pick another category. (audience shouts suggestions)

(freeze sfx) (audience cheers)Champ's standing on $18,000. Very well. That gives you a one-day total of... ...$51,000. (audience cheers)Make it back here and you'll have one less joker to deal with.
Annnd -- cut. Today was move-in day, BTW. A few more graphics and sound effects were moved in. We're *almost* ready for a pilot. I can spare time for *one* more practice run of TC+.

May I go again or do you want someone who hasn't tried it yet?

May I go again or do you want someone who hasn't tried it yet? Sure. Give me a chance to set you up, Bill, then we'll play again.
We'll act as if you're on a two-game winning streak -- meaning there would be three mean jokers in the deck -- but one still on the board.

(audience cheers)We're back on Top Card. Bill McDee's our two-time champion who hit 21 in our championship round and hit a nice jackpot in the process. $47,550 to the good -- and much more waiting to be won in Top Card Plus. Now this is your second trip to Bonus Land. So you know we've hidden behind the categories a joker and seven cash cards. Behind those cards are cards from a regulation 52-card deck. If you find cash, I'll ask you a question from the chosen category. Answer it correctly and you win the cash award -- plus you'll have that familiar choice of the card on the board or the top card in front of Jackie. Collect cards that total 21 and you win a bonus of $1,000,000. (audience cheers) But -- we *are* in Las Vegas -- and the house is known for having its advantages. In addition to the joker that's on the board, we *would* include four jokers into Jackie's deck. But because this is your first return trip, there's one less joker in the pack. The more you keep winning, the fewer the jokers you have to deal with. Win at least six games in a row -- and all the jokers are gone -- including one on the board! (scattered cheers) 'Til then, anytime a joker appears, you'll instantly bust and lose all the cash you've won in Top Card Plus. If you go over 21, that's also a bust -- and a forfeit of all the cash. I should also caution if you answer a question incorrectly, you'll lose half your cash total. So, after you've collected a good card, you may freeze and cash out. You have four chances to hit 21. That means you may select as many as four of these categories. Where do we start? [NOTE FROM DOUG: Yes, we bring in a new category. Star Trek. It's about the franchise -- not just the original series.]

As a Batman fan I'll start with DYNAMIC DUOS Doug.

Starting with Dynamic Duos. Let's start with a lot of money. (audience cheers)$5500. Yours for the right answer to this question. Which of TV's "Property Brothers" competed on the 25th season of "Dancing with the Stars" on ABC: Drew or Jonathan?

Hmm, I'll say Jonathan.

Post by dougmorrisontheair on Aug 17, 2024 19:59:06 GMT -5
Sorry, it's Drew. (audience groans)So, you don't get the money -- and you also don't get a card. Fortunately, three chances remain. Let's try another category.

In honor of the game show you and I both host on here, I'll try Three of a Kind next Doug.

I see what you did there. Behind Three on a Match -- er, uh -- of a Kind... (scattered laughter from crowd) (audience cheers)...sweet! Nine large. Now, you'll need this to have a chance to hit 21, Bill. Good luck. The supergroup Crosby, Stills & Nash had many hits including "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes", "Marrakesh Express", and "Southern Cross". Respectively, what are the first names of Crosby, Stills & Nash.

Right on all three. (audience cheers)$9000 for you -- and more courtesy of a card. Let's check out what's behind the 9000... ...a 6. If you took it, you'd win $6000 more -- and you'd need a 5 on your next chance to stay in contention for the million. Or -- you may take the top card. (audience shouts suggestions)

I'll actually keep that 6 Doug.

Post by dougmorrisontheair on Aug 17, 2024 20:43:03 GMT -5
All right. There's a 6 for you -- and another $6000 in the cash stash. $15,000. Your only worries are the jokers. You may freeze on 6 and take the 15 large -- or look for at least a 5 and keep going for 21. (audience shouts suggestions)

He wants to see the U.S.A. We don't want to see a joker here. (audience cheers)And we don't -- 7250. We'd love to see a 5 behind there or on top of the deck. Let's hope we do after the right answer to this. Eight states in the union have names that begin with the letter M. Among them, which state will you most likely find people nicknamed "yoopers"?

That would be Michigan.

|
Post by dougmorrisontheair on Aug 17, 2024 22:08:07 GMT -5
That would be right. (audience cheers)$22,250 now in the stash of cash. Now we'd loved to see a 5 behind this cash card. A 4 or less and we're seriously thinking the top card. Let's check the board first. (scattered groans) It's another 6. Mmmkay. Well, you'd have a pair of sixes for a total of 12. Can't split the pair in this game, though. Do you take the 6 and look for a 9 on your final chance -- or try your luck with the top card and hope for a 5? (audience shouts suggestions)

(audience woos and cheers) Going for it. Ohhh -- it would be worth it if there's a double card here -- maybe a triple. But it's $5000. Better than a joker. Remember, if you miss, you lose half your money. True or false: In 2017, an adult education institution in Switzerland offered courses where student can learn the Klingon language.
