Well, I am a shift leader at a national sandwich chain. I love collecting items, learning about different languages, listening to just about all types of music, watching and playing different types of games.

Good luck to you, Kourtney. Before we begin the game, we'll pause for a quick break. When our program resumes, we'll get to play our very first round of Battlestars. We'll return in a moment so don't touch that remote, streamers... *back to studio* (stinger cue, cheers and applause)STEVE ANDERSON: Now back to Battlestars and Tony Lane.(more cheers, applause continues)TONY: Thank you, Steve. Now that both players are set, please allow me to explain the rules. The object of the game is to capture a Battlestar by completing a triangle that surrounds one of our panelists. For example-- Let's try it on George and then... put out numbers 1 and 4... (ding) (ding)And whoever wipes out a third number will capture a Battlestar like so... (warble)That's how you capture a Battlestar. Each number that's eliminated earns $50. A captured Battlestar is worth an additional $150. Whoever captures 3 Battlestars wins the round and $1,000. The player who wins 2 out of 3 rounds will have a chance to play The Main Event for a chance to win a prize package and a big payoff. Before the start of the show, we drew numbers backstage to see who goes first. And Mark will be going first. So let's put the board in full motion. (dial tone beeps)Mark... select a buzz-code between the letters A through J.

(buzz-in)And it stops at number 3... Tyrone Allen! (cheers and applause)First, I'll be asking a question to you. After that, we'll reveal the two possible answers. The stars and our studio audience can see the two answers while both contestants don't. Here's your question, Tyrone. Oprah Winfrey suffers from globophobia.
What is globophobia the fear of?

Fear of globs, obviously. Globs of mashed potatoes. I just can't do them, man. (slight laughter) Don't blame Oprah, either.
For real, though--I think it's balloons.

Mark... Tyrone says the answer is BALLOONS. Is he right... or is he wrong?

(buzzer)(audience groans)No, he's exactly right. It was balloons. Kourtney scores $50 and has control of the board. Let's randomize the board again. (dial tone beeps)Whenever you're ready, press the button. (Select a buzz-code between A and I)

(buzz-in)Stops at number 8... Shederick Weatherspoon, Jr. (cheers and applause)Shederick, here's your question. True or False? The national animal of Scotland is, of all things, the unicorn.

And Nerdocrumbesia's national animal is the flying pig. *pfft* Hahahahaha!
But in all seriousness, I say True.

(ding, applause)You're right to agree! You now have $100 and control of the board. This time, the lights will no longer be in tandem. Instead, you get to pick the next number in order to capture a Battlestar. Select a number.

(cheers and applause)George Cluster, welcome to the show. Here comes this question. You are attending a party which has, amongst other things, an open bar.
According to modern day etiquette experts, is it in poor taste to not tip the bartender?

|
|
Post by bighornbattle on Aug 13, 2024 14:59:59 GMT -5
I wouldn't know since I haven't been to a bar. But if I had to guess I would say yes it is poor taste to not tip the bartender.

(ding, applause)You're right. The correct answer is no. it is not in poor taste to not tip the bartender since the person who is hosting the party probably took care of that detail already. You now have $150 and still in control of the board. Select another number...

(buzz-in)(beeping)(cheers and applause)If you get this question right, you've captured a battlestar and an additional $150. Shederick, here's your question. True or False?
The ancient Romans used mouthwash that consisted of, among other things, urine.
