Here come the players... the red player DOUG, the gold player MICHAEL, and the green player KOURTNEY.

Tony:  Thank you, Jim.  Good morning, folks... and welcome to Monopoly, television's game of properties and profits.  One of today's players will have a chance to go once around the board for $100,000.

[CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]

OK then... let's start round 1 with the Acquisition Round.



To win the property and cash amount, a player must answer each question correctly. Wrong answers will be deducted from the player's score. If no one answered it correctly, another question will be asked for the property, but the money will be cut in half. At the end of the round, all three of you will be placing houses and hotels on each property.







We'll start with the purple sector on the first street on the gigantic board... starting with MEDITERRANEAN AVENUE. Whoever buzzes in with the correct answer will earn $60. The answer to our first question begins with the letter I. After I finish reading the question, you have 24 hours to PM your buzz-code between 1 and 100. Here comes our first I question.
