Well, it's just about ten years since this lovely site was made as a replacement for BigJon's forums. However, this will also mark my last hosting gig here on NGC, so what better way to go out than with a Drew Carey style Price Is Right MDS. I will need nine players, so sign up here if you'd like to play

BTW, I should point out that sign ups will be open until 11:59pm Eastern on Sunday, March 3rd. If we have less than nine players at that point, then this will be conducted as a half hour show.

All right, time to get this final show of my hosting career underway, so let's do it. All deadlines are 48 hours and away we go. (1970s CBS Special presentation ident) (1979-2007 Come On Down intro) George: Here it comes! This audience is sparkling with excitement because they know that a million dollar in cash and prizes could be theirs if they know when the price is right! Kourtney Wilson, come on down! Bill Skinner, come on down! Matt Riggenberg, come on down! Kevin Kolsen, come on down! You are the first four contestants on this Price Is Right million dollar spectacular! (1972 main theme) And now, here's the star of The Price Is Right, Mark Liotta! (I enter from the middle door smiling and waving to the audience. Rachel hands me the mic and I bow) Me: Welcome to The Price Is Right! (Audience continues to wave and cheer) Thank you all very much. (Theme fades out) So, as a lot of you know, this is my last show here after being part of such a wonderful community here for the past 20 years. And we thought what better way for me to go out than by putting on a primetime special. There will be a few opportunities to win a million bucks during the course of the show, which I know is very exciting. But what's also exciting is actually playing the game. And so, for the final time, here is the first item up for bids on The Price Is Right! (IUFB cue) George: It's a fun Skee Ball machine. Game Room Guys is proud to offer up this fun and delightful skee ball arcade machine that's perfect for your own home game room. Includes six balls to play with. (Cue fades out) Me: And of course, we will give that skee ball machine to the one of you who bids closest to the actual retail price without going over. Kourtney, what do you bid on that nice prize? Bidding order: Kourtney, Bill, Matt, Kevin

$1. (ding; clang clang clang clang clang clang clang clang) One of you is exactly right. Of course, here in primetime, the contestant that has given me a perfect id will receive a $1000 bonus. But, I am going to make a bold prediction and say that it is not Kevin who has the perfect bid down there. Let's find out who does have it, though. Actual retail price is $5,550 and it is Matt who wins. (COD cue) Come right on up here beside me at the doors, Matt. (Matt follows me to door number one; cue fades out) Now Matt, the first piece of business is for me to give you these. (I hand Matt ten $100 bills) There you are. Ten $100 bills that you may spend as you see fit. Now, the second piece of business is to tell you that you have a chance to win not one, not two, but three brand new cars! Let's open up those doors and show him what we're talking about! (Match Game/Hollywood Squares Hour theme; door number one opens) George: In door number one, a new BMW! (Door number two opens) In door number two, a new Porsche! (Door number three opens) And in door number three, a new Audi! First, we have the 2024 Black Sapphire Metallic BMW m440i Coupe. Comes with standard equipment plus three liter engine, eight speed automatic transmission, rear wheel drive, premium package, shadow line package, 19 inch double spoke jet black wheels, remote engine start, drive recorder, phone charging cables and performance exhaust. Second, the 2024 Porsche Macan comes with standard equipment plus 2 liter engine, seven speed automatic transmission, all wheel drive, wheel center caps, wheel locks, heated steering wheel, roof rails, gloss-black colored side blades and door-light projectors. Third, the 2024 Ascari Blue Metallic Audi e-Tron GT Premium Plus. Comes with standard equipment plus 93.4 kilowatt battery, single speed front transmission, two speed rear transmission and executive package. And there they all are, Mark. (MGHSH theme fades out) Me: Now Matt, baseball has started up with spring training recently, and one of the most exciting things to happen is a triple play. It happens very infrequently, but when it does happen, it's always very exciting. What would be exciting for us here would be if you were to complete a triple play. But to do that successfully, you have to get three consecutive wins with these cars we just showed you. One win, no good. Two wins, no good. You have to get all three wins. Let's start right over here with the BMW, and all you have to do is tell me which of the two prices I'm about to show you is closest to the actual retail price without going over.
$68,390 $70,345
Which of these choices do you want to go with, Matt?

He says $70,345. Let's see if you are right. (I remove the tag and find a YES; ding ding) You are indeed correct. (I remove the ARP tag) $71,280 the actual price and we move on to the Porsche. (Matt follows me to door number two) From here, it gets a bit more difficult as there are now three prices to choose from.
$71,135 $73,260 $75,894
Which of these three do you think is the closest without going over?

Post by GameShowNetwork on Mar 6, 2024 21:02:46 GMT -5
Matt says $73,260. If you're right, then we move on to the last car. If you're wrong, though, the game ends and you get nothing. let's see. (I remove the tag and find a YES; bells) Yes! You are right again! (I remove the ARP tag) $73,548 the actual retail price this time, and on we go to the Audi! (Matt follows me to door number three) Now for this one, we have four choices, one of which is the closest to the actual price without going over.
$109,730 $110,670 $112,400 $113,215
Now, as you can see, this last car has six digits in the price, and it would be very exciting if you won it. But you have to tell me the correct choice out of these four tags. Which of these do you want to go with, Matt?
