Friends, after an extended and partially involuntary hiatus due to health issues, "Now You See It" is back for episode #2. Made a few changes but the rules are basically the same, buzz in first, give the line number, the position number and the word to score. I will explain the rule changes once the show itself begins. John Bergman is our one day champion. He won $6,750 on the first episode. He needs a new challenger to take him on. Who would like to challenge John? Also, when you can John, please check in. Thanks, and it's good to be back hosting again... Bill

Thank you Tony for the kudos. As I've mentioned before, it was you and your set designs that really inspired me and continue to do so to try to make them look pretty nice.
John and Matt, welcome aboard, I'll ask you both to submit to me via private message 20 buzzcodes ranging from 1-100.
Once I receive those, we'll be ready to roll!

That's me! Hello and welcome to "Now You See It" seen here every weekday morning, including Wednesdays, on CBS Daytime. This is the game where all of the answers are right before your very eyes, all you have to do is find them. Our returning champion did well at finding many answers, and has a one day cash total, and it's a nice one at that, $6,750, welcome back John Bergman! (applause) John, how are you feeling today? Ready to defend your championship?

Okay then let's do this! Let's light up the big board... picosong.com/VevE/Every answer to every question is up there, right before your very eyes. All you have to do is find them. We've made a few changes to our game. First of all, we now have 18 positions instead of 14 on the big board. Second, we no longer will have a bonus word. Third, due to a flaw in the scoring system from our last show, we've changed it to a best 4 out of 7 contest. The first player to score 4 words will win one game, but it takes 2 games to win the match. Above me there are 8 numbers. Each number contains a dollar amount from $100 all the way up to $300. One of our contestants will select a number and that will be the value of the question. All money won is kept, but the first player to score 4 words or more will receive an additional $500. Should either player win in a clean sweep, meaning 4 words to 0, they will win the Clean Sweep Jackpot. It begins at $1,000 and we add $250 per game until it is won. It was not won on our first show, so for this game it is worth $1,500. Matt, since you are the challenger, you may select the first number, 1 through 8, to determine the dollar value of our first question.

A $200 question to begin. Remember, after you ring in and I acknowledge you, you must provide me with 3 things, and in this order. First, the line number upon which the correct answer is located. Second, the position number of the first letter of the answer. Third, the answer itself. Hands on buzzers. For $200 and 1 point... THIS IS A TYPE OF OPEN-TOED FOOTWEAR... qwizx.com/gssfx/usa/nysi89-ringin.wavJohn, it is you. Players, unless you have posted something in the vacation thread, you will have 48 hours from the time I acknowledge you to answer.

Post by billmcdee on May 28, 2015 2:57:32 GMT -5
Judges? (ding)They'll take it! (applause)I double-checked because it had "SANDALS" here on my card, but the judge says we can accept the singular or plural form of an answer. John, that scores for you $200, yours to keep regardless of the outcome, and puts you now in the running for a possible $1,500 bonus. We light up the "G" on your podium, to indicate you lead 1 word to 0 over Matt. The first player to spell out the word "GAME" wins the game plus another $500 for having done so. John, 7 numbers left, please select one to determine the value of our next question.

Number 7 is... A $100 question. Incidentally, should neither contestant come up with a correct answer, the money and the points carry over into the next word, meaning if neither player solves this word, the next word will be worth $100 plus the dollar amount selected, and it will be worth 2 points instead of only 1. Hands on buttons. This time we're wanting you to find the TITLE OF A JEWISH SPIRITUAL LEADER qwizx.com/gssfx/usa/nysi89-ringin.wavMatt, please provide the line number, position number, the answer, and also select the next number, 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 or 8 that you wish to have revealed.

Line 3 position 5 Rabbi is right! (applause) That ties the score up at 1 word apiece, and also means the Clean Sweep Jackpot is out of play for this game. For game 2, it will be worth $1,750. picosong.com/VCsb/That music means we need to take a quick time out. When we come back, we'll see what money amount lurks behind #2, and we'll find out who our game 1 winner will be... right............after these words of interest! Please watch, and thank you!

(applause) Back here on Now You See It, and as you can plainly see, we're tied up at 1 word each. First player to score 4 wins the game and an additional $500. Before the break, Matt chose #2. Let's see what this next question is valued at... $150, and here is the question... BEVERLY HILLS 90210 ACTRESS SPELLING qwizx.com/gssfx/usa/nysi89-ringin.wavMatt, you are first again.

Is right! Matt scores another word and another $150, giving him $250, his to keep no matter what. Likewise the $200 in John's bank is his no matter what. Important next word here, John's trying to tie it up, Matt's trying to get within one of the win. Matt selected #8... That's the big one! $300 for this next question, but more importantly another point. ACCORDING TO THE SONG "DOE A DEER" THIS NOTE IS "A NEEDLE PULLING THREAD" qwizx.com/gssfx/usa/nysi89-ringin.wavAnd Matt is first again!

This question is worth $100, if Matt gets it, it will be worth $600! THE ROMAN NUMERAL VI qwizx.com/gssfx/usa/nysi89-ringin.wavJohn, to begin your comeback, what's the line number, position number and answer?

That is correct John! (applause) Ordinarily I would have disqualified your answer as it was after the 48 hour deadline, however, since I did say I was bumping this thread for both you and Matt, the fair thing to do is this. John, you will score the point and the money. Matt, should you lose today's match due to any confusion I may have caused, you will be invited back for the next program, alright? Score is Matt 3 words, John 2 words. For future reference, and so there won't be any further ambiguity, if after 48 hours you have not answered, your opponent is given 48 hours to answer, and only your opponent may answer at that point. I realize when I bumped this thread and I included both names, it could have been misunderstood by John that he could still have answered. John, you get to select the next number to reveal the dollar value of the next question. 1, 5 or 6?
