I imagine it might even be higher than that. I've known several women in my life who didn't say yes to a marriage proposal. In some cases they ended up saying yes to the same person later on, in other cases they married someone else as they wanted to wait for Mr. Right, so higher.

Some men have had the best of both worlds and used a baby puppy!
I would be more inclined to think that single men would think a dog would work better than a baby.
The woman he was trying to pursue might believe the baby is his with another woman and perhaps would not want to get involved.
I would think a dog on the other hand would prove somewhat easier.
I'll say it's a lower/medium number, about 46.
