Mike finishes the series as our all time winner with $205,449 in cash and prizes!
Now this is the moment I know we're all dreading! It's the end of three wonderful seasons of bringing you a game that deserved a better fate than it had when it originally aired! Pitfall should have been an instant classic, because in my opinion the series was not run by the right people nor was it handled financially! Of course I still think about the staff and the players who got stiffed out of what was owned to them and I wish there was some way to pay them back what was due to them for almost 30 years if not longer!
A lot are wondering why we're coming to a close! The reason is that the game has not been as challenging the last two seasons and we tried everything to raise the difficulty, but we just couldn't change the original format and we didn't want to make the game any worse than what it was in the 80's! We at least gave the show a second chance and breathed new life into it and gave it the recognition it deserved, giving away hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash and merchandise!
What's most important out of the whole thing was you the fans who gave the show a second chance and allowed the show to last for three seasons, along with Bumper Stumpers and The Mad Dash which pretty much launched the Canadian Invasion so to speak in 2021! Only The Mad Dash is left and we are looking forward to season number four and we are hoping for at least four more to keep the trend going, and maybe revive another Canadian show to add to that momentum!
Alex Trebek, this is for you my friend! We hope you enjoyed this edition of Pitfall and we hope we delivered some justice for you and all the ones who were victims of this horrible collapse!
As much as it pains me to say this:
From the All-America City, Tupelo, MS, USA: We hope to see you again very, very soon but if not, we hope whoever picks this game up can improve it a lot better than we could!
