Will Nels get to play for the Instant Cash today? NO SALE! Well, on our next program, that Instant Cash will grow again by $500 and be worth $4,000. A good tight match here, we'll be back to finish it out, right after these words of interest.

(back from commercial music) Back with another good match here. Nels leads with 50, Matt just one question behind at 45 and the champion George just 2 behind with 40. A couple of reminders contestants. In this round, we'll play 3 more toss-ups worth $5 each. Then we will play one final fame game. There are 7 numbers left on the Fame Game board and behind 4 of the 7 will be those valuable money cards, 5, 10, 15 and we'll be adding a 25 dollar money card as well to shoot for. After our final Fame Game, whichever challenger has the lower total will be done for the day, but will be paid $25 per dollar in front of their scoreboard, plus get to keep any other cash and prizes that they may have picked up along the way. The higher scoring challenger will then play in a head to head speed round that we call the Super 7 against George. With George being the defending champion, he automatically earns a berth in the speed round regardless of what place he is in at the time we begin it. With all that now cleared up, here's your next set of 3 questions. As always, please PM me your buzz codes and answers, and if you do not know an answer, you may of course say PASS. Answers and buzz codes are due no later than 6:15am EST on Saturday, October 28th. 1 - What is the name of the comet that is visible from Earth every 75 to 79 years? 2 - What was the last name of the first United States President who had the first name James? 3 - What word means both a Bohemian folk dance and a type of dot?

1 - What is the name of the comet that is visible from Earth every 75 to 79 years? George - Halley's. Right and you pull into a tie with Matt for second place at 45. 2 - What was the last name of the first United States President who had the first name James? George - Madison. Also the father of our Constitution. And George pulls into a tie with Nels for first. 3 - What word means both a Bohemian folk dance and a type of dot? George again. - Polka. Right and now you are in the lead all by yourself at 55! (doorbell chimes) And that means it is now time for our final Fame Game. $5, $10, $15 and $25 money cards on the board. Playing for a right to select from that board. Matt, you're going to need a crack at that board if you hope to play in the final Speed Round against George. If either Nels or George gets control, it will be the two of them facing off in the final Speed Round. Looking for PEOPLE this time. These ARE proper names too. 19 letters in total. I need for all three of you to PM to me a bid from 0 to 18, as to how few letters you believe you will need revealed in order to solve this puzzle, and also a buzz code from 1 to 100, in the event that two or all three of you should make the same bid. Bids and buzz codes are due no later than 9:30am EST on Monday, October 30th.

Matt is in first with a bid of 5 letters. George also bid 5 but Matt's buzz code was closer. I will be using my "Wheel of Fortune" puzzle board for this game, just easier on me to do so. If Matt cannot come up with the answer by 11am EST on Tuesday, October 31st (Halloween), then George will get just one more letter and will get to try to solve it next. Matt, here are your 5 letters, the category again is PEOPLE, and they are proper names:

George was next, but whenever there's a tie for a bid, and the first player cannot get it, the next player gets one additional bonus letter. George, to win control of the fame game board, you have until 1:15pm EST on Tuesday, October 31st to solve this puzzle.

That is correct! George, back to the Fame Game board with one once more. Either you'll win another prize or find one of those 4 money cards to increase your lead heading into our Speed Round against Nels. Which number do you want this time George?

Right in the center of the board. And behind the #5 we have... TEN DOLLARS! We'll add that to your score George and that now takes you up to $65. Let us see where the other two big ones were today... #2 had the 15 dollar money card and number 1 was the really big one. (consolation prize music) Matt, unfortunately this means for you that you will not be heading into the speed round today, however, you did win a nice massage chair valued at $1,550 plus we'll pay you your $45 multiplied by 25 so that will mean $1,125 in cash, and a grand total today of $2,675 in winnings! Very well done. And a nice round of applause for Matt Ringgenberg! Matt, thanks so much for participating! Currently George is leading Nels by $15 however with our Speed Round, we have 7 more questions that total up to $50. The first two questions will be worth $5 each, and then for each question after that, the value goes up by $1 each time from $6 to 7, all the way up to the 7th and final question being worth $10, so either of you can end up winning this game. I'll now post the 7 final questions players. You will have until 2pm EST on Tuesday, October 31st to message to me your buzz codes and your answers. Remember an incorrect answer will deduct the value of the question from your score, so if you're not sure of an answer, you can simply say PASS. Here are your Speed Round questions players, good luck! 1 - $5 The vernal equinox usually refers to the first day of what? 2 - $5 What is the square root of 144? 3 - $6 What landmark in Arizona has been carved out by the Colorado River? 4 - $7 Honey, drones, workers and Queens refer to what type of insect? 5 - $8 Napoleon Bonaparte is often credited with saying that an army travels on its…what? 6 - $9 On what program would you find characters named Bert, Ernie, Grover and Elmo? 7 - $10 What musical group was known for their 1977 hit "Hotel California"?

1 - $5 The vernal equinox usually refers to the first day of what? George - Spring. Correct. 2 - $5 What is the square root of 144? George - 12 Right. 3 - $6 What landmark in Arizona has been carved out by the Colorado River? George - Grand Canyon Correct! 4 - $7 Honey, drones, workers and Queens refer to what type of insect? Nels - Bees Right! 5 - $8 Napoleon Bonaparte is often credited with saying that an army travels on its…what? Nels - Stomach. Yes sir! 6 - $9 On what program would you find characters named Bert, Ernie, Grover and Elmo? George - Sesame Street. Correct! 7 - $10 What musical group was known for their 1977 hit "Hotel California"? George - The Eagles. And that's the game! (win cue) And appropriately enough George, you hit the century mark, it will cost you only $100 today to purchase another big prize from the Winner's Board, and we'll play that in just a moment. Nels, you were within striking distance, down by $16 with $19 worth of questions remaining, but George pulled away there at the very end. While you did not pick up any prizes during the match today, we will multiply your $65 by $25 and you'll be taking home in cash $1,625! A very nice round of applause for Nels Snesrud! But the day once again belongs to you George. Eight major prizes remaining on that winner's board to shoot for, so let's take that $100 and go shopping! (1989 music cue) So far George you have cleared two prizes off of the Winner's Board, your first day was a Jet Ski and on our last program you won yourself a vacation to Rio! Eight prizes left including $10,000 in cash, $15,000 in cash, $25,000 in cash, a new 2024 Mustang, along with other nice prizes as well. The car and the $25,000 are only up there once, so you'll have to uncover one of the two WIN cards first and then uncover the $25,000 or the CAR on your very next pick in order to win either of those. George, please select a number.

televisiontunes.com/Sale_of_The_Century___Austraila___Hostess_Intro.htmlWe are back here with our three day champion George Cluster. George, today, courtesy of the Fame Game you won a ceiling fan light and a pair of bicycles, prizes totaling $1,250, then for the $100 you won in the match today, you purchased 100 times that with a check for $10,000 in cash! $11,250 today alone. And as long as you keep winning matches, you get to come back here to the winner's board to make more matches here as well. After you clear 8 prizes off the board, your 9th match win, if you should make it that far, will win you the last 2 remaining prizes on the board automatically. After every 5 shows we do change some of the prizes, but the $10,000, $15,000 and $25,000 cash prizes will always be in the mix, as well as the 2024 Ford Mustang, but some of the other prizes will be changed out after every 5 shows. And should you win 9 matches in a row and clear the entire board of all ten major prizes, you'll then have one final decision to make. But we won't talk about that unless or until that time comes. Meantime, the time has come for us to bid you a fond farewell until next time. George will be back with a grand total of $32,298 here on $ale of the Century, bye for now!
