(I go to Matt's podium) Well, you avoided being shut out at the very least. You're walking out of here with $2800 and our thanks for being here. Kevin, we thank you for being here too. $1600 is nothing to complain about at all. But here's our big winner right here in the middle. $10,926 cash and prizes for you, Bill. Come with me so we can look at some bonus prizes. (1989 closing theme; Bill and I head to the bonus area) Five terrific prizes all loaded in and waiting to be won, starting with a trip to Brazil. Jim: A very nice trip at that too. Includes a six night stay in Rio and is worth over $17,000. Me: And we also have a travel trailer. Very handy if you're on the road a lot. That's worth more than $33,000. And we just talked about one trip, but now we get to talk about another. Jim: This one's for Antarctica. It's a terrific once in a lifetime experience that includes a cruise and it's worth over $46,000. Me: And we usually have cars available around here. This time, it's an Audi. Those are always nice cars, and this one goes for over $38,000. ($25,000 sign descends from ceiling) And there's plenty of cash on hand as well. We'll see which of these prizes Bill could possibly win after this. (Fade to commercial)

(Back to the studio) Well Bill, you've seen all the prizes that we have available, and we hope that you win one of those. First bit of business, however, is to decide on one of those five envelopes we have beside you.

All right, hand that over if you please. (Bill gives me the envelope) Now, the category for your puzzle is Character.
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ CHARACTER
RSTLN and E are the magic letters that we always start you off with, so let's see if Rachel has any of those for you. (bong, bong, bong)
_ _ T _ L _ _ _ _ R _ _ _ _ _ CHARACTER RSTLN E Well, she's got a few of them. You have to give us the rest. Three consonants and one vowel.

You definitely called the right letters there, and now we get to see what you have won. (I open the envelope and look inside) You've got yourself a nice set of wheels.
CAR
(Match Game Hollywood Squares Hour theme) Jim: Bill, you have won the 2024 Audi Audi A3 Premium. Comes with standard features plus two liter engine, seven speed automatic transmission, four wheel drive and driver assistance package. Retail value: $38,670! Congratulations! (MGHSH theme fades out; 1989 WOF closing theme) Me: Quite the night here for you, Bill. Let's get you situated into the car. (I bring Bill to the car, and he waves to the camera) His total tonight, ladies and gentlemen, comes out to $49,596 cash and prizes. We'll be back to close things out after this. (Fade to commercial)

(Back to the studio) Me: You ever seen the film Matilda or read the book? Rachel: I don't think I have. Me: I actually saw the film the other night, and no child should ever have to go through what she went through. At least she ended up with someone who actually cared about her. Rachel: Maybe I will have to watch it now. Me: You really should. Fun fact, the child actress that played her in the film lost her mother to cancer prior to the film's release, so Danny DeVito arranged to give her a private showing so that the child's mother could see the film before passing. Rachel: Who does DeVito play in the film? Me: The car salesman, Harry. I'll show you the film once we leave for the night. (1989 closing theme) We'll see you next time. Rachel: Bye. (Rachel and I wave; end credits, fade out)
