Well, I reckon I'm about as ready as I'm ever going to be to launch my version and my vision of $ale.
I posted some general info about how instant bargains are going to work on my version.
One thing too that I am going to do that a former member and former host of this game used to do on here, once I have 3 players signed up, I will be sending a series of questions to each individually and have the players pm back to me both their answers and a buzz code. They will have the option to pass on a question if they don't know the answer.
Who wishes to help me out by participating in this pilot episode?

Frank Caliendo: This week contestants could win… This elegant living room group… A luxurious spa… A sparkling diamond ring… Or a fabulous vacation to Rio… And continue a journey toward a fortune in cash and prizes… Including this Mustang… And FIFTY-THOUSAND DOLLARS IN CASH! In total, over ONE-HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS on… SALE…of the Century! And now, from the Jim Perry stage in Burbank, here is your host, Bill McDee! That's me! Good day or good evening to one and to all, and I welcome you into $ale of the Century. This is the updated version of the classic 1980s hosted by the late, great Jim Perry and I hope I can do him proud as I'll be presenting our players with questions and prizes as well. As always, we start with 3 contestants. This is the first episode of this series so we have no current champion just yet, but let us meet today's three players. Immanuel Tims, George Cluster and Nels Snesrud are here today, and gentlemen at the end of today's match one of you will get to go to the Winner's Board and win one of those grand prizes that was mentioned in the opening, and we'll talk more about that when we get to that point. Right now players, I'm going to start each of you off with $20. If you buzz in first with a correct answer to a question, we'll add $5 to your score, if wrong, we'll deduct $5. Gentlemen, I'll ask you to PM me your answers to these first 5 questions as well as your buzz codes. All buzz codes are higher than 0 but lower than 101. Here's the first 5 questions of today's match and good luck to all three of you. 1. What is the last name of the legendary Chicago Bulls basketball super star who shares his last name with that of a middle eastern country? 2. What are you listening to if you are moving your dial across the AM or FM lines? 3. What pesky rodent is also the first animal of the Chinese Zodiac? 4. Colonel Harland Sanders was best known as the founder of what popular fast food chain? 5. What is the title of the popular Michael Jackson song which features a speaking part by actor Vincent Price?

THAT'S what we needed, KFC or Kentucky Fried Chicken. Nels goes to 30. What is the title of the popular Michael Jackson song which features a speaking part by actor Vincent Price? Immanuel. "Thriller". Right for $35. George had all the right answers, just couldn't buzz in fast enough is all. (chimes) And that sound means it is time for an Instant Bargain. Only the player in the lead will have a chance to win a prize at a very low price, or possibly for free! We'll explain how that will work in just a moment. Immanuel, you have a $5 lead currently over Nels. And this is the first prize of the day that could be won, and if it is, it will be yours. Take a listen. A great addition to any game room or basement, this machine features built in LED lights, automatic ball return and arcade sound effects to enhance action. This Skee Ball machine is ordinarily priced at $900... but can be yours today for only $5... or maybe even for free, on $ale of the Century! Yes you heard correctly. We have a new way of doing our Instant Bargains now. Immanuel, attached to each letter in the word $ale is a different card. One says "No Sale". If you pick that, you stay at $35 and do not win the prize. One says $5. If you hit that, we will knock $5 off of your score but you will win that Skee Ball Machine. And any cash and any prizes picked up along the way by all three contestants will be theirs to KEEP, because once you buy a prize, it's yours to keep (Chuckling). One says $5 and SURPRISE, which means a Sale Surprise with a cash bonus and the cash bonuses can be $500, $600, $700, $800, $900 or $1,000. And one says "GIVEAWAY". If you pick that card, we will just GIVE you that Skee Ball machine and you'll remain at $35 on your scoreboard. Immanuel, please select S, A, L or E at this time.

And under the "E" it says... No Sale. Well Immanuel if you wanted that prize, you're out of luck, however you still have a one question lead over Nels. Back with these... What was the name of the band with the hit 1980 single "The Wall" What mustached hunk was the star of the 80s TV hit "Magnum P.I."? What is the name of the torch-bearing landmark in New York Harbor? Players you have until 8pm EST on Saturday, September 23rd to message me your answers and your buzz codes. If you do not know an answer, you can say "PASS" in place of your buzz code.

What was the name of the band with the hit 1980 single "The Wall" Nels - Pink Floyd. Correct, now pulling into a tie with Immanuel at 35. What mustached hunk was the star of the 80s TV hit "Magnum P.I."? George: "Tom Selleck". Right and George scores his first $5 of the day moving up to 25! What is the name of the torch-bearing landmark in New York Harbor? Immanuel - The Statue of Liberty Right and Immanuel's the first to the 40 dollar mark. DING DONG... The witch is dead! No, that means it's time for our first FAME GAME of the day. The first player to buzz in and correctly identify the name of this famous man will earn a pick from our Fame Game board, and a chance to win either a cash prize or to add $10 to his score. Nels missed the deadline which passed two hours ago. A missed deadline equals one strike. As in baseball, three strikes and out. Immanuel is in first. Immanuel's Fame Game answer - George Washington. That is correct! First in war, first in peace and first ever Fame Game subject during my series here on $ale. Immanuel, you now have a chance to add to your $5 lead by $10. Behind this board of 9 numbers we have a Tic, a Tac, and a Dra...no wait... We have cash amounts ranging from $500 up to $1,250. You'll select a number and whatever cash you uncover will be yours to keep, no matter how you finish in the match, however, one number has a $10 money card. If you select that, you'll increase your score from $40 to $50. Which number would you like Immanuel?

Immanuel at $40, Nels at $35, George at $25, and we're just getting started. We'll take a pause for the cause and return with more questions, more answers and more bargains, right after this!

Nels has had his strike removed as he explained to me he thought he had replied for that Fame Game. What is the capital city of Italy? George is in first. His answer "Rome" Right and George goes to $30. Hartford is the capital of which U.S. State? Immanuel : Connecticut. Correct, Immanuel to $45. Superman's alter ego who worked for The Daily Planet had what name? George: Clark Kent. Right and George moves into a tie with Nels for second place. What fictional spy goes by the number "Double O Seven"? George - James Bond. Right and now George moves into 2nd place alone at $40. (instant bargain bells) That sound means it's time for an Instant Bargain. The player in the lead gets to try to win this next prize. Immanuel, that would be you. You have a slender $5 lead. Let's hear about this next Instant Bargain... It's a laptop computer! For home or office use, it's this new laptop computer. This 12.4 inch touchscreen laptop comes with 8 gigabytes RAM, 256 GB storage, a 5 point thunderbolt hub and much more. And this computer is normally priced at $1,398... but can be yours today for only... $10 or perhaps for free, on $ale of the Century! Immanuel, another nice prize up for grabs, and it might be yours for only 10 bucks or maybe for free! Hidden behind each letter in the word SALE is a different outcome. One says $10, which means you'll lose $10 but win the prize. One says $10 and Surprise, which means you'll lose $10 but win the prize plus an extra cash bonus. One says NO SALE, which means no prize and you stay at $45. And one says "GIVEAWAY" which means you will win the computer and remain at $45. I hope you get the outcome you want. Which letter do you want Immanuel?

What tomato cocktail brand also sounds like a type of automobile engine? Nels - V-8 And Nels moves into a tie with George now at 40. What late legendary country & western singer was known as the Coal Miner's Daughter? George - Loretta Lynn. Right and now George is back in the lead by $5. What is the name of the Arizona town that shares its name with a marking of a grave? George - Tombstone. Right again and George is the first to reach the 50 dollar mark. Tonto was the sidekick of which famous action hero? George just a fraction of a second quicker than Immanuel to the buzzer. George - The Lone Ranger. And Three in a row for George moving up to $55! Speaking of The Lone Ranger, once, actor Jay Thomas was attending the opening of a car dealership with actor Clayton Moore who was dressed up as The Lone Ranger. Clayton needed a ride back to the hotel so he accompanied Jay. Someone backed into Jay's car while they were driving back to the hotel and Jay pursued the man. The man said "You can call the police but they won't believe you." Clayton Moore then emerged from the car, in his Lone Ranger outfit and said to the man "The police will believe ME citizen." to which the frazzled man replied "I didn't know it was YOU!" Back to a very good match after this time out!

(music returning from commercial) And we are back in the middle of a very good match with Immanuel at $35 and who has won $900 in cash plus a laptop computer, Nels with $40 and George the current leader at $55. (DING DONG) And that means it's time for another Fame Game. Please submit your buzz codes along with your answers via private message no later than 7:00am EST on Thursday, September 28th. We are looking for a famous woman this time. Who am I? I was born in 1820 in Italy to my parents William and Frances, and I died in 1910. Whilst in the gardens of my family home in Embley, Hampshire, I heard the voice of God calling me to do His work, but at this time had no idea what the work would be. In 1839 I was presented to Queen Victoria. I pursued a career in nursing although I was looked down upon by society at that time, especially as I was someone with an affluent background. After much opposition, I announced my decision to enter the field in 1844. In 1853, I enrolled as a student at the Lutheran Hospital of Pastor Fliedner in Kaiserwerth, Germany and I worked hard to educate myself in the art and science of nursing. In 1861 I assisted the United States in organizing soldiers’ hospitals in Civil War. I was known as the "Lady with a lamp". My first name is also the name of the town in Italy where I was born, and my last name is the same as a type of bird. I am Florence...
