A supermarket clerk, eh? I hope you can hook me up with some groceries after the show. For now, I want to see you make some dough! 3 windows, cash in them, up to 3 spins. You get the idea, pull that lever!

*wheels spin* $400...$600...$700. That's $1,700! Keeping this score will put you in second place on the board, which again could be good or bad, we'll know that in a moment. But my question for you is, do you want to keep your $1,700, or try to push for more? (Audience shouts suggestions)

Keep It.

Then you stand with $1,700! *applause, ding* And that concludes this portion of the round! Now it's time to see who is our ultimate winner, and to do that, one, or all of you, will answer a few questions. Matt, since you were last, you decide who gets this task: Since our board is electronic, thank you technology... *scattered laughter* The cash behind the windows are replaced with the words "High", "Middle", and "Low". If high is chosen, the person in first place, which in this case is Nels, answers up to 5 questions. If middle is chosen, the questions go to second place, which is you Matt, and if low is chosen, George gets control of the questions. I'll explain the questions in just a moment, right now Matt, choose one of the three windows please!

The middle window has... "High"! Meaning the person in first gets to play the questions! Nels, you assume control of the 5 questions in this running. Clear the board again, please: Because in just a moment, you're gonna answer 5 multiple choice questions. For each correct answer, $200 goes into the bank you see above the windows here. An incorrect answer means you lose control of the board, and therefore the money in the bank. In each of the three windows, an answer will appear, and it's up to you to decipher which answer is correct, signified by a joker, and avoid the ones that are incorrect, signified by a devil. Whoever is in control after all 5 questions are played wins all of the money in the pot, along with the money they own already, and we'll see them in the second half! Now Nels, at any point, you can pass control to the next player in ranking order, in this case from High to Middle, meaning control goes to Matt. Finally, if you answer a question incorrectly, the other 2 players can buzz in and steal control. But for now, Nels, here's the first question's 3 possible answers: Vienna... Zurich... Or Berlin. Those are the possible answers to this question: Which city is home to the Brandenburg Gate?

Berlin is right! 1 for 1! *ding, applause* $200 in the pot now, here are the next 3 answers: China... Turkey... Or Greece. One of these 3 is the correct answer to this question: Where was the first example of paper money used?

You did it again! *ding, applause* Easy way to make $400! 3 questions left. Remember, you can pass control should you feel iffy on an answer. Next question: Greek... Russian... Or Arabic. Which of these languages has the longest alphabet?

Ok. Matt, you automatically get control of this question, and therefore the pot. Get it right, we add $200 to the pot. Get it wrong, and it'll be Nels who gets $300, not the pot. What's your answer?

Arabic is wrong! The correct answer is Russian. Nels gets $300! *applause, ding* Nels is now up to $2,600. But it's now Matt who gets the remaining 2 questions. Matt, if you get a question wrong, you lose control of the pot. But if you take it all the way, you win this first portion. Here's the next question for Matt: Entomophobia... Arachnophobia... Or ailurophobia... The fear of insects is known as what?

Entomophobia is right! *ding, cheers* This is the last question. Get this one Matt, and you win this portion. Get it wrong, you can lose the game. The Kennedys... The Bushes... Or the Rockefellers. Arnold Schwarzenegger was married to a member of what famous US political family?

The Kennedys is right and you win! *win cue, dings, cheers* Matt, you're going on to game number 3 in just a moment! That's $800 plus the $1,700 you spun earlier, and not only that! You win a special prize! Bob, what does Matt win? *prize cue* Bob: Experience exceptional entertainment with the future of television – 8K resolution. Combining the power of Sony’s intelligent Cognitive with the high-density Mini LED’s this 8K TV pushes your senses to the limit to give you the most realistic and immersive content possible. This is a prize worth...$7,863!*cheers* Matt, you have $10,363 in cash and prizes already! Congratulations! We'll see you in the second half of the show! For now, we have a Nels and a George, and one of you two are gonna play against Matt in the second half! But to figure that out, we gotta do the whole process again. We'll take a powder here and come back, then we'll see who wins the first half after these words! *theme, cheers*

*cheers* Hello once again folks! It's time for another round of the Hi-Lo Showdown here on The Joker's Wild Hour. Nels and George are the only people we have left. Only one of you moves on to the second half of the show, the other person goes bye-bye. Also, the winner of this half wins another special prize! Let's check the board: Still works! That's a blessing. We play the second round just like the first. Spin the board, we'll set the amount, you can either take the amount you spin or throw it all back to try for a higher score. After that, we'll give you the chance to bank your money by answering some questions. Nels is in the furthest left position, so he starts us off. Whenever you're ready, pull that lever Nels!

Throwing back $900, eh? Let's hope you get something better. *wheels spin* $800...$500...$200! An even $1,500! *applause* That's definitely an improvement, but again, you can make up to $2,400. You have one spin left, do you wanna take the last spin or keep your $1,500? *audience shouts suggestions*

Well that was easy! *applause, ding* In one spin, you got $1,500. That's not all you can win, in fact now that's the least you can win here, if you win this part of the half. George, it's now your turn to rack up some dough! Get set, time to pull that lever George!
