The one and nine are correct. Either the four, three, two, or eight is wrong. Which digit should I remove?

Alright, looks like those algebra courses will be coming in handy here!
Let's see... so there's one motorcycle to try and win, it has two tires, ten spokes on each tire, what looks like four words on the graffiti in the background, a seat that looks like a circa symbol which is generally used to describe years such as 100 A.D., 200 B.C., 600 A.D., and 1300 A.D., amongst other things such as the population of the country is circa 325 million. So therefore, you add all of these numbers up to get 325,002,217. Which is obviously not the right solution.
So I'll proceed to add up every digit in the solution we have come up with, that equals 22. Which still isn't it, so let's multiply this number by the number that represents December when you write a date in nominal form, add on the year that New Mexico officially entered the Union, and divide that by 29. Which leaves us with an amount just over 75.03, which still isn't right.
*producers shake their heads, some looks agitated*
Therefore, we have to multiply this new number by 300 and divide it by 9. This results in a quotient of 2,509... still wouldn't work here. But there's an easy way out. We take this number, add all of its digits, and multiply it by the number of digits in the number. Which, when all is said and done, equals 64. So now I'm thinking of two ways to go about this. Should I half the number 64 until I find a number that is a possibility to remove in the price of the motorcycle, or should I square the number 64?
*audience yells HALF, producers yell HALF, screams and murmurs*
Looks like i'm squaring it. This new number should be... 4,096. Let me flip this number around, making it 6,904. Then I'll remove the outermost digits, leaving me with 90. I'll then double this number, giving me 180. I'll divide that by 36, leaving me with 5. Hmm... I'll guess I'll add 36 to 5, this leaves me with 41. Which is a prime number, the 13th prime number. So I'll take thirteen and add in onto 41, which gives me 54. Then I'll take those two numbers, plus the thirteen, add them all up to get 108. Divide this by 9 just because to get 12, double the 12 to get 144...
*producers headdesk, audience murmurs loudly*
...subtracting 41 from that results in 103, which is the number that is notable for an inexplicable reason, so we halve that to get 51.5, multiply it by four to get 206, remove the zero, add those digits and we finally have a number that could be the right one to remove to win the motorcycle on Squeeze Play. And that number is... 8.
