Risking $950... (hitting the button) Good grief! He struck again! Nels, the bad news is you've lost your turn and $950. The good news is you are at the end of the arch and if it gets back up to you again, you'll be going for your second victory! Meantime we go back downstairs to Justin again. Justin you have been playing from behind this entire match thus far, and will do so once again with this category: US Vice Presidents, the list of answers: Martin Van Buren, Harry S Truman, Thomas Jefferson, Dan Quayle, John Adams. One, two or three questions Justin?

Just under 3 months, from January 20th 1945 until April 12th of that same year, when Franklin D. Roosevelt passed. The Bandit has found his new hiding place. Let's hope for your sake Justin that he's not in this first monitor. (pressing the button) $750! Bank it or let it ride?

I'll risk it and go on

And now... (pressing the button) $250 more, now you have $1,000 at risk Justin. The Bandit is behind one of those last 2 monitors. Do you want to go for it and gamble, or bank another $1,000 which is guaranteed to you if you do so?

Risking losing $1,000 and control..... (hitting the button) Good heavens, not again! Justin I am sorry. You've made it to the end of the arch, but you lost the money and control again. It may still get back to you, we'll see. Nels, it is back to you yet again! You're at the final monitor and we have replaced the final question with something new. You will have three choices Nels. I'll ask you to select A, B or C. Each of those letters has something different associated with them. One is a dollar sign. If you select it now, you will win the game and a house minimum of $500 since you have thus far banked zero. One is $1,000. If you find that you'll have the option to bank that and give up control to Justin, or gamble and try to go for the win. One is of course, the dreaded Bandit. If you hit him you will lose control again. If you hit $1,000 first and gamble and the bandit strikes, you will lose the money and the control. Going for a possible win here Nels. Do you select A, B or C?

B hopefully NOT for "B"andit! (pressing the button) DOLLAR SIGN! (Win cue) Nels, another nip and tuck match but you made the right choice that time and are moving on to the end game once again. Justin, you were stiff competition to be sure! You played very well and got as far as you could go without actually winning. Along with some nice parting gifts you're also taking home $650 in cash! Spend it in good health! Justin Rhea! And upon our return, we'll play the end game for a chance at up to $25,000 with Nels. Will he Strike It Rich? Stay tuned to find out!

(fade into applause) Nels, in spite of the fact that Justin was nipping at your heels throughout today's match, and that Bandit kept popping up, you came through as champion for the second day in a row. A $500 house minimum is yours for having survived that ordeal! Now the real fun begins. First, I want to explain that there is a new way to win our grand prize which we are going to hear about right now. Nels for your driving pleasure, it's the all new 2023 Cadillac Escapade! Retail value $83,950! And Nels, if you should win that, you will retire from the show as an undefeated champion. If you do not win it today, you'll get to come back tomorrow and play in another match. Each day you become champion, the odds of winning that car increase slightly, but there is one catch. You must win the bonus game first in order to qualify to play for the automobile. We've amended our bonus game slightly, allow me to explain. We have reduced the number of boxes from 9 down to 8. Hidden behind 3 of the numbers are dollar signs. Hidden behind 3 more of the numbers are strikes. You want to avoid them if at all possible. Hidden behind one is a question mark. If you find that, you will be asked a question from a category of your choosing. Get the question right and you'll earn a dollar sign. Get it wrong, and that will be a strike. The game ends once you score 5 dollar signs or 3 strikes. It can also end if you decide to end the game. I'll get into that option if and when we come to it. Right now Nels, I first need you to stop our randomizer. There are 12 different money amounts flashing in the bottom window. You will stop the randomizer by selecting any number higher than 0 but lower than 13. That will determine how much money you will win if you score your first dollar sign. I should point out too that should you score 5 dollar signs before getting even one strike, you will win an additional $20,000 in cash on top of your pot amount. If you win the game with 1 strike against you, that will be $15,000. Two strikes against you and 5 dollar signs will add $10,000 to your pot total. Nels do you have any questions? If so, feel free to ask. If not, please stop the randomizer by selecting a number higher than 0 but lower than 13.

$600 will go to you for the first dollar sign you find. 3 numbers house them, 3 have strikes, 1 is a question and 1 says "50/50". And if you hit that card, then we will show you the 3 numbers that have a dollar sign plus the 3 that have a strike and you'll get to pick one as it will be a 50/50 chance for you. Which number do you take this time Nels?

Number 5... Alright! (applause) Alright Nels, one down, 4 to go. The randomizer is going again at the bottom. Please select a number higher than 0 but lower than 13 to establish your next cash award for your next dollar sign.
