Offensive End

Post by Bill Skinner on Oct 26, 2022 8:43:36 GMT -5
Well, I've heard of no such position, but we might see it anyway. How about an offensive end? (strike buzzer) No, that's strike two. Who does the defensive end face anyway? I hear an offensive tackle, so that makes sense. And I'm hearing guard too, which may be right. Well Michael, you're down to your last chance to take the bank, because if you fail to do this, then the Snesruds can steal and get back in the game. Would you happen to know the Number 4 answer?

If there's an offensive tackle, then there's gotta be a defensive tackle as well. So I'm gonna say the tackle!

This is it: If a defensive tackle is there, you take the bank. If not, strike three and they get a chance to steal. Let me see a defensive tackle! clang!(bells jangling) And right now, it's the Kolsens at $283, and the Snesruds at $0. Kevin and Nels, come join me for another face-off! (1988 FF Face-Off Cue, harmonica variant) Nels, you need to win now in order to stay alive, because the Kolsens could go to Fast Money if they do. For this round, the dollar values are doubled, and the top four answers are on the board. Name a month that ends with the letters B-E-R.

Show me September! clang!(bells jangling) Number 1 answer, so the Kolsens will play for the win. Nels, think up some answers with your team. Matt, what's another month that ends with the letters B-E-R?

I wonder where that could be on the board? Show me November! clang!Number 4 is where it is. So Kevin, we started with you, and the game could end with you too. I think right now it's obvious to everyone what the Number 2 answer, but I can't give it to you just yet. However, if you identify it, you win.

You may be right about that, and it will give you the bank and the game. Show me December! clang!(bells jangling) (1988 FF Win Cue) And the Kolsens are heading back to Fast Money! I'll be with you guys in a second, but first let me say Snesruds, I'm so sorry that you didn't get a chance to play. It happens every once in a while, when someone makes short work of you, but you're always welcome to come back and play again. See you around. (shakes Snesruds' hands, then walks to front of stage to invite Kolsens for Fast Money) (1988 FF Theme) Who's going to play Fast Money? When we come back, we'll try to give away another $5,000, plus stay tuned for a special announcement for our upcoming Challenge!

We are back with the Kolsens, who will play Fast Money again and try for $5,000 more! Kevin, we have Matt offstage where he can't see or hear your answers. I'm going to ask you five questions via PM, and then you'll have 24 hours to PM me back your answers. Try to think of the most popular answers to each one, and if you and Matt together get 200 points or more, you will win $5,000! so if you're ready, let's play! Give me 24 hours on the clock, please.
dong!
Thank you. And now these are the questions to which I want your answers in a PM:
1. Besides frosting, name something you put on top of a cake. 2. ...a number considered to be lucky. 3. ...a dangerous sea creature. 4. ...a doll or action figure kids like to play with. 5. ...something found in a dentist's office.

(bells jangling) Turn around. Time to see how many points you get with those answers. My first question was, besides frosting, name something you put on top of a cake. You said... blip!...a candle, which they do a lot for birthdays. Our survey said... dong!...25; nice start. Next, I asked you for a number considered to be lucky. You said... blip!...7, a very obvious choice. Our survey said... dong!...oh, 61! That's probably some sort of record in Fast Money, is it? Anyway, let's move on to the third question, in which I wanted a dangerous sea creature. You said... blip!...a shark. Makes you want to run back out of the ocean and onto the beach, like in Jaws. Our survey said... dong!...27, and over 100 points you go. Then, a doll or action figure kids like to play with. You said... blip!...the ever-adorable Barbie. She's like one of those faces that never ages. Our survey said... dong!...36! I don't know, we might have a solo win on our hands today. (cheers) Finally, something found in a dentist's office. You said... blip!...a drill. Audience, do you think 51 people said it? (even louder cheers) Well, even if it's not worth that many points, it should get you pretty darn close. Our survey said... dong!...only 32, but your total right now is still 181, so you did very well with those answers. You may now go back to your family. Time to clear the board, and bring out Matt! Kevin got you 181 points, so you just need 19 more to win. I know for a fact that you're going to get the cash again, so let's do it. 24 hours on the clock, please... dong!...as we reveal your partner's answers to the audience. The clock will start after I finish reading the first question; good luck to you. Besides frosting, name something you put on top of a cake.
