TPIR Seasons 1981 50th Anniversary Special: Archive!

Well folks, here it is. Our double special will soon commence. Yesterday, The Price is Right celebrated it's 50th anniversary on CBS, and coincidentally this is my 10th Net Game episode of The Price is Right Seasons. 

Since this is the 50th anniversary special, we'll play it as such, but much different than last year's since I had forgotten a few things that I will implement here. First off, after various segments, we'll take a look at some special moments throughout the years (past and present, meaning from 1972 onward, even past 1981, since there aren't that many clips I have up to 1981).

Also, I had stated in last year's special I would use a pricing game jackpot that I never did use, I'm using it for this special since this is a primetime special. Also also, the winner of the home viewer showcase will be announced at the end of this special, so if you haven't sent me a bid but would still like to, you have until the showcases to send them in. The stakes are also going to be higher than regular episodes.

Not only is this the 50th anniversary show, but it's also our tenth seasonal show. We have some wonderful stuff in store, including giving our players a chance to win up to $100,000 in cash! Throughout its 50 year history, The Price is Right has given away over $300 Million in cash and merchandise, and we're keeping that train bouncing on NGC, giving away our own prizes and cash alike. Hi Matt! Welcome on stage. Now Matt, and for the rest of you that come on stage, you'll have the opportunity to help build a collective jackpot that we're using for our double special:



This Jackpot will give you all the chance to win some extra dough on top of your prizes. First off, we start that Jackpot at $20,000 in cash.

The way it works is like this: whether a pricing game is won or not, the Jackpot increases, the value at which it increases is determined on whether or not a game is won. Each game in the first half of the show is worth $10,000, and for the second half each game is worth $20,000 EACH. Now, if you lose a game, the jackpot still increases, but the increase value is cut in half. If you win your showcase, you receive the jackpot, but if you win BOTH showcases, you'll win DOUBLE the money in the bank!

Meaning if we have a perfect show, and a player is so fortunate as to win both showcases, they win an extra $100,000 on top of their winnings!
